“Was impressed both time I was there. The food is good. I had a number fully expecting to retrieve my food and they brought it to the table a very unexpected suprise.”
“Food was ok. Since I can not write a review about the slot machines on their other website, I can air it here. The atmosphere is nice. But there's no " cha- ching" about their slots games. They're very tight. I didn't win and I looked around nobody did ”
“Best food this side of the ohio river in my opinion. Food is always fresh, customer service is always on point, he even gave us free cookies after our 4th large order. Definitely the go to spot for good chicago style grub.”
“Just a trucker passing thru when I noticed the diner had a large parking lot for me to fit in so I gave it a shot. Glad I made that decision. Staff was polite and the food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. If I'm ever passing this way again I'll definitely be back!”
“Monique and Clarence are a class act! They catered a meal for my company and it was nothing short of phenomenal. From the service to the food.. everything was absolutely perfection. Thank you for treating us like family!”
“gorilla bobs was great took my mom with me atmosphere if friendly food is great and filling. had the Philly Buffalo chicken and mom got the hot brown. all were great piping hot and delicious.”
“I’ve been eating here since they opened up and it’s always been great! The owner is always friendly, the place is clean.Overall for a quick dining experience it’s extremely nice.ESPECIALLY FOR DIXIE!!!”
“My pepito was really good. It was large with really good bread and quality meat. The ketchup and mayonnaise on this was a little off for my flavor pallet, but I guess it's traditional. I'd rather have just about any other sauce (even thousand island just so the bites are consistent instead of one bite with ketchup and the next with mayo). Also got an arepa, which didn't go over well. We tossed half of it out.The fries were undercooked, limp, and also went in the garbage.Parking: Depending upon the time of day, I bet this lot can fill up.”
“Came down to Louisville for my brother's birthday, and since we're self-proclaimed pizza aficionados, we chose to try this establishment after watching a more than convincing vid from a Louisville Youtuber on their deep dish pizza. It was pretty busy for an early Sunday afternoon and bustling with families. The decor is 1970s to a tee with lots of dark brown accents, but didn't appear to be "run-down" or "smelly" as other reviews indicated. We chose their deep dish pizza or how they refer to it as "pie" baked in a cast iron frying pan. It takes about an hour to cook so we ordered ahead and we forgot until we arrived that it's cash-only. It was a unique tasting pizza unlike any deep dish I've had before. I liked the mixing of all of the flavors from bite one, although the combination of veggies watered things down quite a bit. It didn't come pre-sliced which was disappointing as I'm not much of a pie cutter, and it made a kind of a mess as the crust is very thick and dense. Don't expect a buttery and flaky crust as it requires such a dough consistency to bake and hold everything together in the first place. I personally wasn't a fan of the crust, although my brother was. I would've preferred it softer so it could be easier to cut and have a mouthful of both the pizza contests and crust at the same time. I ended up scooping the contents from the pizza and leaving the crust alone. I would've liked to have tried their thin-crust as well, but was way too full. Maybe next time if we're ever down in Louisville again.”
“This place is a true staple in our community. Prices are fair and customer service is great! It has become a second home for me! Love our people no matter our differences!”
“Great service. Lots of choice on the menu no matter what you diet (except vegan). Our party of 4 got amazing, BBQ chicken breast, fall-of-the-bone ribs, brisket sandwich, burgoo and fried fish. Sides were green beans, corn muffin, and potato salad.Having Celiac, I was thrilled to find they have a gluten-free/allergen menu. It's just an information chart really, but it's easy to read and very helpful. The waitress said she'd ask the kitchen to change their gloves to avoid cross-contamination. Unfortunately, I got glutened & have been sick for 2 days and missed a day of work.Vegetarian options: Not the best option. The green beans have lots of meat in them. Potato salad has boiled egg in it.I'm sure you could order a salad, baked potato and maybe a steamed vegetable. Check out their menu online ahead of time.Dietary restrictions: Ask for an allergen menu that lists gluten, dairy, wheat and other items. I ordered the rib & chicken combo with green beans and potato salad. The regular menu has an obscure notice box explaining the possibility of gluten cross-contamination. I have Celiac disease & asked the waitress about extra precautions. She said she'd ask the staff to change their gloves & all my items were listed as not containing gluten, wheat or dairy. When our food came out, my dinner was brought out separately, which was great. (There was no Texas toast on top of my plate either.) But, I got glutened anyway. It's hard to know what goes on in the kitchen. Eating out is usually risky so consider that if eating here. The food was well prepared and tasted great.”
“This restaurant is amazing, the food is full of flavor and the margaritas are amazing. They put the extra effort to make sure your visit is great!! I give them a 10 out of 10!!!”
“The food here is amazing. You get a ton of food for the price. This is always at the top of our list when deciding where to eat out!! Our family tells everyone we run into about Barry’s. So much thought and heart has gone into this business.”
“So glad I stopped by today!! The food is delicious and the service was friendly and speedy. Thank y’all! I would take a pic but I demolished the food already.”
“Wowowow. What a great little ice cream shop! It really gives you a small town feel. There are so many flavors to choose from and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I was so happy with my cookies and cream waffle cone. You know it's good when people are waiting in the cold for ice cream. I can't wait to go back and try one of their sundaes”
“As a Haitian woman I rarely by Caribbean food because I usually feel as though they water down the ingredients to appease the pallets of other people but I had the Tassot Kabrit, and the food was delicious. The plantains could’ve been more crisps however, the meat was tender yet krispy on the outside and had the right amount of flavor. Don’t let the interior discourage you, it is a hole in the wall, but family owned and quality food.”
“We absolutely love going there, fast service, always does an amazing job on our big parties (we have had 6 so far), friendly, and always goes above and beyond for us.Kid-friendliness: Our grand daughter who is 13 months old made a huge mess and they laughed it off and said for us not to clean it, they always have high chairs, and talk and play with the kiddos.”
“We come here every week for $.99 street tacos on Tuesday. The chips and salsa are homemade and everything tastes like someone's grandma is in the back making it. Haven't had anything bad on the menu yet and the prices are very affordable. Plus the staff are very friendly and welcoming.”
“What a amazing experience for my family! I would recommend this to anyone who wants an old fashioned down to earth experience!! Great service, amazing food and our waiter christy is always on point! We love this ”
“The bartenders are all awesome.Positive attitude fun knows what they're doing and fast.Pretty damn good food too.I can keep talking, However that's the short version.”
“I love it there! Waiter was excellent not pushy I like being able to think before I order lol.Parking: Lots of spots in back and there is a few businesses next door you can park”
“Food tasted great. Service was excellent. Only problem I had was I ordered the ultimate sampler and it was supposed to come with chicken in the fettuccine alfredo. I had not 1 piece of chicken in mine.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Had crayons and an activity page for the little ones.”
“Cane's is always super fresh and delicious. Light and crispy breading. Steam rising from the tender when you bite into it. Top notch fast food chicken every time!”
“Here as we speak and place is amazing laid back atmosphere will be a weekly spot from here on out I recommend the chicken cancúnKid-friendliness: Kids running around just being kids but respectful”
“Great food. When I was there on 3/24/24, the young man that took my or wasn't friendly in any way, kinda assembly line interaction. But Justin the owner puts out good fish.”
“Curbside was quick and efficient. Service was excellent as always. Food was great.Vegetarian options: SaladsDietary restrictions: Clearly posted warnings about allergens”
“Love the Locker Room. not one person here wouldn't give you the shirt off thier back! These filks constantly raising money for charities in Louisville! Very friendly, and affordable! love this place...Hidden GEM!! p.s. karaoke during the week..live music on WEEKENDS!”
“Way way way.... overpriced! The toppings were great but the dough was not. 2-3× the cost of frozen and not as good as Degiorno. Friendly worker. Oh and the Cinnamon Monkey bread was amazing.Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair ramp is actually blocked by the permanent concrete posts which was wierd.. I was pushing someone in a wheelchair and had to lift her up the curb”
“We’ve driven by this place so many times and finally decided to give it a try today. This place is such a hidden gem! Delicious, authentic cuisine, at a very affordable price. Definitely worth a try!”
