“I'm not usually a fan of tenderloin pounded really thin, but the breading was also thin and it was surprisingly good. the grill tenderloin was thicker and more moist. both used really good pork trimmed of fat and gristle. were thin and crispy. the onion rings thick and crunchy. all in all it's a very good meal. yes if they wrap our order and foil but they refused using unrecyclable styrofoam. really need a compostable option.“

“Service was great, Peter was timely and answered questions before we asked. Food was just as great, had NY strip and wife had the crusted pork. Sides were mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. The desserts all homemade as well. Never had sugar cream cake, but it was delicious with blueberries. We will be back“
“I haven't lived in Elwood for very long. My mother wanted breakfast, but she didn't want to dine in. I didn't want fast food so I googled local restaurants. Friendly's was first on the list.I called and they could quickly prepare breakfast to go. My mother ordered pancakes with added sausage patties. I ordered a full order of biscuits and gravy. As I initially entered the restaurant, I saw several signs stating they only accepted cash, debit and credit weren't welcome. Hopped back in the van to find an ATM. Returned for our food. The lady behind the counter was talkative and friendly. They were about 1/2 full and everyone seemed to be happy and sociable. Great atmosphere. My mother enjoyed her breakfast and was filled before she could finish. I was quite disappointed with my biscuits and gravy. The gravy looked great and was a good consistency. However, it had far too much pepper. The biscuits were rather small. They tasted good but were a bit dry. I tried a few more bites of mostly biscuit with as little gravy as I could get. Still far too peppery. Inedible. Definitely not happy.Parking: The parking lot is rather small. Some spaces are placed in a way that cars have to be extremely careful not to back into other cars.“
