This is a pizza place that serves “ice cream and cold espresso,” it’s definitely not a coffee shop.

How are you gonna be a coffee shop with no menu? $7 for plain coffee and syrup? That lady looked at me crazy when I asked if they had milk substitute. This is definitely not a coffee shop. They sell pizza and you can go to the tanning bed. Smh. So glad we drove to try it out.

Its a simple setup in a small town you'd have to look or you'd miss it. However quaint I enjoyed the friendly service, our wait was brief, and the drinks were nice.

Cool Beans/Noble Roman's is a great addition to Fairmount. Milkshakes are awesome & breadsticks are good for any part of the day!

This was the worst food service experience I've had in a very long time. We stopped by to order a pizza for carry out and wound up waiting for an hour after we placed our order, while several people who ordered AFTER us got their food. It was so bad that people were walking out. The worst part was getting home to discover our pizza wasn't cooked all the way. We had to finish cooking it here at home. Definitely won't be returning.

Difficult to find and they closed earlier than the hours stated. Milkshakes tasted very good though.

This isn't an easy review to write. If this place was in Indy, I would say "It's trying to be too many things and should concentrate on doing fewer things the best they can." But it isn't in Indy. Smaller towns have different needs and I support when someone steps up in the community to fill that need (I would much rather see that than some big box store take over!) So, I was looking for a late afternoon cup of coffee and somehow found Cool Beans. It's part of an L-Shaped building that houses Mathews Insurance on one end and Tiki Hutt Tanning Salon on the other. Nestled back in the corner is a hard to see (unless you are really looking for it) entrance for Cool Beans. After parking in a lot across the street, I entered a somewhat densely packed dining room with a large mural on the back wall, a foosball table in a corner, bulk popcorn and candy on the far wall, and an order counter for coffee and ice cream. I was quickly greeted by a woman who came over from the tanning salon who filled my order. Turns out she works all three places in the building! No wonder it was confusing. I will say the coffee was tasty and that the woman was friendly and patient while I made my order. All good there! And though I understand that this business is filling a need with some desired products, I couldn't help but feel even this single business was a little too much. Too many tables made it feel cramped. Maybe if they got rid of the foosball, they could spread out a bit. I think if the business could sharpen the focus just a bit, I would have enjoyed the atmosphere better. Review #2566

Kind of hidden away, amongst a tanning salon and a professional office, coffee was good, quaint and comfortable.
