“Was craving some quesabirria tacos, and La Mixteca did not disappoint! They were not greasy (as can be the case with some), the consommé was flavorful, and the rice and beans were fresh. Portion size was perfect! Owner was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be returning!”

“Came here for breakfast the morning of the eclipse. Everything was phenomenal. We ordered the french toast w/sausage and the steak & eggs breakfast platter w/pancakes. Both orders were brought out very quickly and were absolutely delicious. We had frequent coffee refills and the staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this cute little place!”

“The hibachi was good. The teryaki was good, the ginger salad dressing was delicious, and the food was fresh and high quality with larger portions. The sushi was okay. Not great but not bad. The rolls were not rolled tightly enough so they fell apart when picked up. The soy sauce bottle was clogged and sticky on both sides. The rest of the restaurant seemed very clean. Service was amazing, quick and friendly.”

“I came in for lunch and ordered Carnitas Taco Combo, with 3 tacos, rice and beans. Everything was exceptional! This seems to be the only place in town I can find traditional Mexican tacos. Will be here more often for lunch.Edit 1/23/2024I have been coming here about twice a week for lunch since it's close to work. The staff remembers my name and order (because these tacos are awesome and it's all I want) and the food has been consistently amazing. If you just get 3 tacos, no rice or beans, it's under $10!”

“Food was great, we had a big party and they served us quickly. Menu is very large with some authentic and unique dishes we haven’t seen before. Would highly recommend trying this restaurant. Portions were large and we loved everything! The breaded tilapia was delicious.Kid-friendliness: Decent size restaurant inside. We have 4 children and the other family with us had 3. Plenty of room!”

“Had the Peanut Butter bacon cheeseburger and fries. Fries were cooked perfectly and the burger tasted great my first venture into a peanut butter burger was well worth it.”

“Picked up a Greeks Special pizza for dinner last night and enjoyed the leftovers today. The pizza was delicious- Very fresh ingredients and fantastic crust. I think it's the best pizza in Frankfort, IN. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Wonderful experience- highly recommend!!”

“I have never heard of pupusa. My friend bought me a few of them while I was doing some electrical work for their business. I had a cheese, a pork and a combination papusa and I WAS HOOKED!!! These were beyond delicious! The shredded cabbage in the light vinegar dressing that goes on top makes this one of the tastiest meals I have EVER had. Be aware that they are VERY HOT when they are brought to you. Give them a minute to cool before you devour them.”

“I've tried the gorditas at most of the Mexican restaurants in Frankfort, and Los Amigos has the best by far!!! Like little pockets of love. Also recommend the horchata, cheesy rice, and of course, tacos. But gorditas are my fav!”

“Arnis never dissapoints. Best pizza in town hands down.Parking: Its on the courthouse square. Limited spots available in front of the store. Typical for a downtown location.Kid-friendliness: Yes bring the kids!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in and out. Parkimg could be a problem though.”

“I never leave reviews, but this food was too incredible to not write one.The customer service was polite and direct, they speak mostly Spanish but can understand you.Each taco has a generous heap of meat and is double shelled. Specify cilantro and onion if you want those toppings! We got steak tacos and we couldn’t believe how juicy, flavorful, and tender they were. We normally put down quite a few tacos, and we could only eat 2 tacos each we were stuffed.The chips are made in house and are crispy and salted just enough. The white cheese is BUSSIN OK. I live for cheese sauce like this. The salsa, BUSSIN.The only downside was they forgot to include the rice we ordered, but we were so full we wouldn’t of made it to the rice anyway. ?Definitely recommend.”

“Was our first time here. We always go to one place in town but something swung us this way. At first though it was a house, but then we seen the advertising and all the cars and said ok let’s try!Well my honest opinion. We first walked in was welcomed with a smile from the cook I believe, the waitress well. She needs to learn to smile more welcome different ppl. I seen her laugh and smile with a regular I believe but no matter how hard my husband tried she never smiled. Plus my coffee went dry twice. I’m a big coffee drinker. But all and all. Come one ppl come visit this beautiful little gem. Thank you!”
