“Food was great, we had a big party and they served us quickly. Menu is very large with some authentic and unique dishes we haven’t seen before. Would highly recommend trying this restaurant. Portions were large and we loved everything! The breaded tilapia was delicious.Kid-friendliness: Decent size restaurant inside. We have 4 children and the other family with us had 3. Plenty of room!“
“I came in for lunch and ordered Carnitas Taco Combo, with 3 tacos, rice and beans. Everything was exceptional! This seems to be the only place in town I can find traditional Mexican tacos. Will be here more often for lunch.Edit 1/23/2024I have been coming here about twice a week for lunch since it's close to work. The staff remembers my name and order (because these tacos are awesome and it's all I want) and the food has been consistently amazing. If you just get 3 tacos, no rice or beans, it's under $10!“
“I have never heard of pupusa. My friend bought me a few of them while I was doing some electrical work for their business. I had a cheese, a pork and a combination papusa and I WAS HOOKED!!! These were beyond delicious! The shredded cabbage in the light vinegar dressing that goes on top makes this one of the tastiest meals I have EVER had. Be aware that they are VERY HOT when they are brought to you. Give them a minute to cool before you devour them.“
“I can only comment on the ice cream, as I have not tried any food there yet. Their ice cream is delicious. You can tell they make them in small batches. Great place to get your sweet craving fix.My favorite flavors so far are the Ferrero, Oreo, Banana Nut, Caramel Pecan, and of course Chocolate.Kid-friendliness: A small place area for toddlers.“
“I never leave reviews, but this food was too incredible to not write one.The customer service was polite and direct, they speak mostly Spanish but can understand you. Each taco has a generous heap of meat and is double shelled. Specify cilantro and onion if you want those toppings! We got steak tacos and we couldn’t believe how juicy, flavorful, and tender they were. We normally put down quite a few tacos, and we could only eat 2 tacos each we were stuffed. The chips are made in house and are crispy and salted just enough. The white cheese is BUSSIN OK. I live for cheese sauce like this. The salsa, BUSSIN.The only downside was they forgot to include the rice we ordered, but we were so full we wouldn’t of made it to the rice anyway. ?Definitely recommend.“
“My family came in and got the family dinner. It was so good and so much food. There are 5 of us (2 adults, an 11 year old and 2 8 year olds) and we could barely eat half of the food. One of my sons has never liked tamales until he had the red tamal that was included with the dinner. The beans and rice were excellent, as was the pico de gallo and the pork. I think 4 adults would probably have a hard time finishing the whole thing. The price was definitely worth it. The woman who took our order was super nice. I would definitely come back!“
“First off a disclaimer: I'm from Texas, and have lived a good portion of my life in The West and The Southwest, and I am well versed in "good Mexican food", (Taco Bell is not it folks, trust me). That being said "El Rodeo" is Frankfort's "Real Deal". This is authentic Mexican food, (to include Mexican drinks), and Spanish is the predominant language here. The food is fresh and well made. The service is awesome. Thursday is 1.50 Taco Thursdays and these are the ones that rock. Corn or flour tortillas with your choice of fillings. If you like Mexican video music also, you will enjoy this as it is shown on TV's but is not overbearing or too noisy. The young lady that works there, (I think she may be the owner), is absolutely awesome, and provides top notch customer service. If there is only one drawback to this entire thing, it would be the location. The place is off the beaten path on a side street to St Rd 28 and due to the chaotic mess that is the current road construction on St Rd 28, it makes getting there a little difficult. The place is also small, and parking is limited, (it shares an area with an auto repair garage). However this has NOTHING to do with the food. It's excellent! Go check it out!“
“Been to Jaripeo three times, always an amazing time. Food is absolutely amazing and delicious. Portions are perfect. Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. Love the atmosphere. Last visit was on Valentine's Day and it was a very nice time. This place is way better than our Hispanic restaurant in town. Highly recommend this place.“
“When my husband and I walked we thought for sure we'd be waiting quite some time for our food but we were hungry for Pepe's so we stayed. Come to find out we Did Not have to wait long at all for our food thankfully and as always, it was hot, fresh, and good. Pepe's has never disappointed us.“
“Was craving some quesabirria tacos, and La Mixteca did not disappoint! They were not greasy (as can be the case with some), the consommé was flavorful, and the rice and beans were fresh. Portion size was perfect! Owner was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be returning!“
