“Went here to try something new. There were 4 of us and we each got something different, each of which were delicious! The special with fish and the joloff rice/chicken were our 2 favorites. All of it was great, and the family that runs the place was helpful and kind!“

“I tried this place off of door dash and I was impressed with the portion sizes. I got the dokuno, it was a fried whole talapia fish and rice. It came with something similar to fufu but had a lime type taste to it. Also it came with a yummy dipping sauce and 2 very hot sauces. Great experience.“

“Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the Tastemakers event with Healthy Soul Food. We tried the House Fried Rice which comes with Halal meat such as chicken, shrimp, and crab. I was surprised to hear about them sourcing their vegetables from local farms like Flanner Farms & Elephant Garden. I really enjoyed their In House made yum yum sauce it was so delicious.“

“I was craving fufu and couldn't not leave. I was able to order through Uber Eats. I called the restaurant to see if I c get turkey instead of chicken and the owner was very sweet and understanding. When the order came through, she called me back to tell me they didn't have the Plantain fufu I wanted so she suggested another fufu that is in the picture. The entire meal was delicious. One of these days I will have to visit, looks like a very peaceful atmosphere and great customer service. Thank you again for the recommendations, I really appreciate it!“

“Delicious! You arrive, place your order at the counter, and you select your beverage out of the cooler. No alcohol available. You pay at the counter. They have tables for you to eat inside or you can take your food to go. All good arrives in to-go containers. I ordered the chicken curry dinner and chose 2 sides. I chose the cabbages and jollof rice. The amount of food and the price is very reasonable. It was perfectly seasoned! I plan to come back and take an order home for dinner n my way home. We had a large group and they took very good care of us. Definitely recommend!“

Regular Beef Suya

“The spot was hard to find but it has the white headspace and is next to Universal if that helps. On the inside, the color choice of decoration was gorgeous. The orange color just pops. I do not know the name of the man who attended to me but he was very patient and consistently checking in and providing update on my meal preparation. Order ahead by calling if you don't wanna wait in store like I did. Now to the food, I had the peppered ponmo and the beef suya. The suya portion was more than generous which I was grateful for since I had to share. The tasting left me very nostalgic. The ponmo was spicy to satisfaction. Although the seasoning could be improved, it is overall a great spot that I would be eating from again!“

“Solid portions. Hits the spot! I will eat anything spicy, ricy and meaty. Felt like Indian food with an East African panache. For those complaining about price, the portions are humongous. Open up your pocketbook and share the love with our brothers and sisters. Or don't complain when there no halal places.“

“We came to this location not knowing what to expect and we were very pleased. We visited for lunch on a Saturday so there wasn't a crowd. Great place to watch some footie while relaxing on banquettes with your food laid out on low tables like coffee tables. We'd never really had West African and Caribbean before so we were glad to receive suggestions and assistance from a patron and the owners. The Puff Puffs were excellent as an appetizer. We ended up getting the goat and chicken jollof meals and Asaro, if my memory is correct. Portions were large enough to take some home and still fill up for lunch. We will definitely be going back.“
