Food came fast, this place is too fancy for a bbq place. Brisket decent, not tender/moist enough, Mac and cheese not bad not amazing same with the collared greens. This was good not great, it's is proper bbq though

Had the smoked chicken with hopin John and cooked greens. Chicken was very juicy and the sides were tasty. The pimento cheese spread app was delicious. The small corn bread cakes and pickled green tomatoes/onions that came with it were great.

Sometimes it works out when your best laid plans are totally destroyed. I was heading somewhere else for dinner, when 465 East was a parking lot near Castleton. So I exited Keystone and went toward Nora on 86th Street hoping something would jump out at me. I noticed this place and BBQ sounded good, so I decided to give them a shot. I am really glad I did. Now I will say, it's about as fancy of a BBQ place as I've ever been in. The bar area looked really cool, so I decided to eat at the bar. I was happy to see a nice selection of local beers, especially Black Acre. So, I ordered a Rye IPA, it was strong, but really good. Now, I was just about to order some brisket, when I saw "Hot Brown" on the menu. I couldn't believe it! A Hot Brown is a Louisville, Kentucky specialty and it's rare to find anywhere else. It's basically a Southern Take on a Hot Turkey Sandwich (or a Turkey Manhattan as they call it here in the Midwest). Pieces of white bread are placed on the plate, with piled sliced turkey, bacon, tomatoes & Mornay Sauce (cheese), and it's heated and served open-faced. Now, there's is a slight variation. They use smoked turkey, pork belly instead of bacon and Bechmel Sauce (another cheese sauce) instead of Mornay. I couldn't tell much of a difference. The plating wasn't the most attractive in the world, as you can see by the pic, but it was just as good as the Kentucky Hot Brown I had in Louisville. And the service was very good. I really loved the vibe here. Definitely want to come back and try some BBQ, but also next time I want a Hot Brown again too!

This restaurant is doubtless one of the most attractive restaurants in the neighborhood. Every time I visit this place I am incredibly glad. They preserve their very high standard service and the highest level of food they provide. You surely will enjoy this this place. Warmly recommended.

I’m from KY and I’ve eaten a TON of BBQ in my day and this by far was one of the best “new” bbq places I’ve been too. They do a great job of blending the traditional with the “new”. Atmosphere is great. Service is awesome! Thank you Ryan! We will be back whenever we are in Indy!

This was not our first visit to North End, the food is consistently high quality as is the bourbon selection. Our server, Kristen, was attentive and very pleasant but was not "smothering". We enjoyed our meals; smoked turkey sandwich, puller pork platter, pulled pork sandwich and chili. For dessert we had the sugar cream pie which had a thick filling.

The brisket and sausage sandwich along with the collared greens was excellent and my wife enjoyed her ribs. For desert, we thought the apple cobbler would have been better if it had more fruit filling. Ambiance and service was very good and will return.

The BBQ was great. I absolutely loved every last bite of my brisket. They included the barky ends which are my favorite part of the whole meal. My husbands ribs were just as amazing. The desserts were also very good. The sides were a little subpar, and I recommend ordering something other than iced tea. Overall we will be going again and try different sides with our meal.

This place is “just okay”. Last tried this place a year ago.

I visited here for the first time for a work meeting. They have an awesome private room with a TV/screen that can fit anywhere between 10-30ish people. Super good to know about! We got to meet the owners who were a fantastic and local family who also own Late Harvest Kitchen (also delicious). I then came back with my husband this weekend and loved it even more. The whiskey bar area is super cool and has swanky lighting and our server was one of the best we've ever had. She walked us through the menu, sauces, and was super friendly and attentive the entire time. I got the brisket platter with mac & cheese and the house salad. The meat was soooooooo good, as was the mac & cheese (perfect amount of cheesiness) and salad. I even loved the salad dressing which is rare for me to find one I really enjoy. We both ate everything on our plates. Bold statement alert: My husband said this was his favorite bbq he's ever had. I loved it too and enjoy that there was a separate bar area and family area so all ages can feel comfortable and choose where they want to sit!

We went here last weekend for my husband's birthday dinner with his family. Everything was amazing. A lot of us got the brisket, and those who did all had really positive things to say. You definitely get a lot of meat and it's very tender! The onion rings and the sauce with them were sooo good too. I also liked that they give you a variety of BBQ sauces to try at the table. The only things people didn't really care for were the Mac & cheese - they said it was too plain. My husband was sad their slushie machine was broken this night because he really wanted to try their whiskey slushie, but he wound up trying a flight of whiskeys instead which he enjoyed. We will definitely go back if we are on that side of town again!

We both had rib tips, a Valentine's Day special. They were wonderful. I mentioned to our waiter that they should be on the menu all the time. He said many people aren't familiar with them. I guess they may be a cultural thing. But I still think they should be on the menu, then maybe they will be more mainstream! I always get the wonderful collards as a side. Tonight we both also got baked beans which are very good. And my boyfriend got cornbread as he always does. I love it too but I can only eat about 1/4 of the serving. We often get onion rings as an appetizer because they are so good and we weren't disappointed tonight. And finally we celebrated the occasion with dessert. He got chocolate cake; I got pecan pie parfait for the first time. I gave my boyfriend the top scoop of ice cream for his chocolate cake and still brought home more dessert than it ate. It reminds me of Derby Pie—more chocolaty than pecan pie. But very good. Our server was Carlos. He was attentive and efficient. I always love going to North End.

Wonderful meal here at lunchtime! Brisket Platter all that was hoped for with my selection including brisket slices, hoppin' john, cornbread & maple butter, and extra side of collard greens. Service provided was friendly and quick, adding to this enjoyable, filling experience.

Went with party of 7 for my moms birthday. Later afternoon on a Saturday. Service was good with one exception. Several of us has cocktails and beer. The bar was very slow for such an empty place. When my sister ordered a second drink I think it took a good 10 minutes to arrive. We thought it has been forgotten it was so long on such a non busy time. My husband and I had the Indy devour special which was more than enough food for us, we had leftovers. Everything was tasty but the fries and Mac n chess are excellent. We ordered a to go item in addition and it came quickly. Mom got a free desert for her birthday. Nice experience overall.
