“I can not say it enough; the food here is some of the best food. The flavor combinations are perfect! Everything we've had tastes as though so much thought was put into it. It is all made in-house and fresh. The house made ranch is the best I've had. Staff is always friendly and attentive. We've been a handful of times and plan to keep going back.”

“Was craving some quesabirria tacos, and La Mixteca did not disappoint! They were not greasy (as can be the case with some), the consommé was flavorful, and the rice and beans were fresh. Portion size was perfect! Owner was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be returning!”

“Came here for breakfast the morning of the eclipse. Everything was phenomenal. We ordered the french toast w/sausage and the steak & eggs breakfast platter w/pancakes. Both orders were brought out very quickly and were absolutely delicious. We had frequent coffee refills and the staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this cute little place!”

“The hibachi was good. The teryaki was good, the ginger salad dressing was delicious, and the food was fresh and high quality with larger portions. The sushi was okay. Not great but not bad. The rolls were not rolled tightly enough so they fell apart when picked up. The soy sauce bottle was clogged and sticky on both sides. The rest of the restaurant seemed very clean. Service was amazing, quick and friendly.”

“I came in for lunch and ordered Carnitas Taco Combo, with 3 tacos, rice and beans. Everything was exceptional! This seems to be the only place in town I can find traditional Mexican tacos. Will be here more often for lunch.Edit 1/23/2024I have been coming here about twice a week for lunch since it's close to work. The staff remembers my name and order (because these tacos are awesome and it's all I want) and the food has been consistently amazing. If you just get 3 tacos, no rice or beans, it's under $10!”

“Had the Peanut Butter bacon cheeseburger and fries. Fries were cooked perfectly and the burger tasted great my first venture into a peanut butter burger was well worth it.”

“EDIT: I have gone more than a few times since my first review (I go a few times a week since I first wrote this…lol) and it is still five star great! Chai latte is especially good. Don’t miss out on soup and sandwich Sundays, you will be amazed at how yummy a simple sandwich is when they make it.I had high hopes for such a small town's coffee shop, and they fulfilled every one of them! Lovely people, outstanding refreshments and baked goods, and the coffee itself was delicious. This is coming from a coffee snob! “Picked up a Greeks Special pizza for dinner last night and enjoyed the leftovers today. The pizza was delicious- Very fresh ingredients and fantastic crust. I think it's the best pizza in Frankfort, IN. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Wonderful experience- highly recommend!!”

“I can only comment on the ice cream, as I have not tried any food there yet. Their ice cream is delicious. You can tell they make them in small batches. Great place to get your sweet craving fix.My favorite flavors so far are the Ferrero, Oreo, Banana Nut, Caramel Pecan, and of course Chocolate.Kid-friendliness: A small place area for toddlers.”

“Food was ok. Nothing spectacular. I had a taco salad. Meh. My husband had fish and fries, which he liked. My grandson had a burger. The atmosphere is cold and uninviting. Table arrangement makes it seem like a party hall, not a restaurant. Service was ok.”

“I have never heard of pupusa. My friend bought me a few of them while I was doing some electrical work for their business. I had a cheese, a pork and a combination papusa and I WAS HOOKED!!! These were beyond delicious! The shredded cabbage in the light vinegar dressing that goes on top makes this one of the tastiest meals I have EVER had. Be aware that they are VERY HOT when they are brought to you. Give them a minute to cool before you devour them.”

“I've tried the gorditas at most of the Mexican restaurants in Frankfort, and Los Amigos has the best by far!!! Like little pockets of love. Also recommend the horchata, cheesy rice, and of course, tacos. But gorditas are my fav!”

“I never leave reviews, but this food was too incredible to not write one.The customer service was polite and direct, they speak mostly Spanish but can understand you.Each taco has a generous heap of meat and is double shelled. Specify cilantro and onion if you want those toppings! We got steak tacos and we couldn’t believe how juicy, flavorful, and tender they were. We normally put down quite a few tacos, and we could only eat 2 tacos each we were stuffed.The chips are made in house and are crispy and salted just enough. The white cheese is BUSSIN OK. I live for cheese sauce like this. The salsa, BUSSIN.The only downside was they forgot to include the rice we ordered, but we were so full we wouldn’t of made it to the rice anyway. ?Definitely recommend.”

“Was our first time here. We always go to one place in town but something swung us this way. At first though it was a house, but then we seen the advertising and all the cars and said ok let’s try!Well my honest opinion. We first walked in was welcomed with a smile from the cook I believe, the waitress well. She needs to learn to smile more welcome different ppl. I seen her laugh and smile with a regular I believe but no matter how hard my husband tried she never smiled. Plus my coffee went dry twice. I’m a big coffee drinker. But all and all. Come one ppl come visit this beautiful little gem. Thank you!”

“The staff here is phenomenal and will go above and beyond for anyone. My father had passed away and loved to drink, we wanted to do a celebration at a local bar in his hometown. The owner was so kind as to allow us to come in and celebrate his life. They helped us set up a table with some of his things and had put a candle, some peaceful decorations, and printed out a large size picture of my dad for us. It was so very kind and I will truly cherish this memory that they helped me create.They were very attentive to everyone that came in, keeping up with their food and drink orders while still maintaining their regular customers. I was completely blown away by their kindness. The drinks and food were very very reasonably priced, a very good selection. I didn’t get a chance to try their food but everyone in our party eating throughly enjoyed it, it looked and smelled incredible!I’ll definitely be going back and trying their food! This is truly a local gem!Vegetarian options: Solid amount of options for vegetarians, many other dishes that could be made vegetarian too. Very accommodating”

As there are spaces it could also be tight but that is just my opinion.”

“I can truely say that driving an hour to work (Noblesville to Frankfort) is worth it. Because I get to stop here after work before going back home. Your establishment has the tastiest treats(cheese fries, walking taco, Hazlenut chai tea latte, banana shaved ice all just to name a few). Also affordable and fun.
