“Finally made it out to Tea+Poke and I’m legit sad it took me that long to get there. The people are kind, the environment is welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious. The pineapple passion fruit tea was the icing on the cake. I couldn’t decide what to get because TBH the entire menu looks delicious. Staff recommended the Korean Beef Short Rib bowl and an I added an orange chicken bowl as well. Both were winners. So much so, I’ll definitely be back to eat and drink my way through the menu. Highly recommend. 🥰”

“Mishkenut is our go-to when we want all the goodness of a slow-cooked, savory, healthy meal with the convenience of carry-out. The falafel is perfectly crispy, the hummus silky smooth (you can ask for it extra spicy!), pita warm and fluffy, shawarma seasoned to perfection, and Fatoosh salad with house dressing is light and tasty to balance everything. Plan ahead and call in your order with at least an hour of lead time. Dining in? Call ahead and don't sleep on the delicious hot tea with pine nuts to sip while you wait.”

“I recently moved into the area and had a gift card for schoops so i decided to stop in for lunch on a weekday afternoon. I had the schoops mickey which I'm not sure what the difference is between that and just a normal cheeseburger. Service was nice from the ladies. Atmosphere is like a retro diner. The place was well kept which makes me think they intend to keep that vibe going. At the time of this review, I paid about $18 for the burger, small fries, and a coke. That's not including tip. It's certainly not a place for the budget minded.”

“Great pizza, but dropped the ball with service on recent visit. This is one of our favorite places for pizza in the area, and we go there regularly. The food is always good, but today, we sat there for over 20 minutes without a single person stopping by to offer us water, offer to take our drink order or even just acknowledge our being there. It wasn’t even especially busy - most tables were empty. We gave up and went somewhere else.”

“My husband and were at the ER across the street with my father after a car accident for hours. We realized we hadn’t eaten the whole day and were “starving”. We had a short amount of time to grab food, I realize picking a sushi restaurant isn’t the staffs problem that I am in a rush, but I let the server know that we were in a bit of a “time crunch” and would like to order our appetizers and entrees right away. Our server was extremely understanding and accommodating. The food came out so fast and was just as amazing as usual. Our server was clearly making a great effort to get us out quickly per our request. We left almost in shock of what a great experience and food we just had after a terrible day. I didn’t catch her name, but thank you very much.”

“I grew up in Highland with Sweet Tooth right down the street. Summers were full of bike rides with the boys to get some ice cream and a Jones Soda. Today I found out they reopened in Munster, and was able to take a stroll down memory lane. Such a fantastic, caring local business, and I will definitely be returning!”

I do see how busy they are and I completely understand it's out of their control on how busy it gets, but I hope it does get better. Although, I do have to say that every single one that works there is always super friendly (especially Emily), which makes up for the long lines. Lol.”
