“This was my first time there and it was amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and they had a card recognizing the birthday person at the table which I thought was very thoughtful. The service was amazing, thank you Anna, and the food was delicious. the food was wonderful from the Oysters Rockefeller to the salads and the steaks, everything was perfect. They ended the night with chocolate covered strawberries for the birthday boy. Thank you Brooklyn and the Butcher for a wonderful experience.”

“The Earl is one of those rare places that hits the sweet spot between dive bar and craft beer hangout, without trying too hard. In the middle of downtown New Albany, it’s got a industrial interior with brick walls, rough hardwood floors, and exposed beams, that still manages to feel warm and personal, im sure helped by the Bill Murray mural and fridge shrine dedicated to him. It’s weird, it’s charming, and it totally works.

Their rotating lineup of local and regional craft beers is always on point. You’ll find something familiar like Country Boy, but also a few wildcards you’ve never seen before. It’s perfect for after work or a laid-back late night drink.

On a personal note, this is where I first told my girlfriend, now wife, that I was falling in love with her. So yeah, for all the cool beers and eccentric charm, and even Bill Murray, I can personally attest that The Earl is also the kind of place where memories are made and actually stick. Can’t recommend it enough!”

“My wife Brittany and I stopped in on May 10. The restaurant was packed with only a few seats at the bar. It looked like the hot spot for pre prom dinner. The waitresses were working their tails off trying to keep up and we were very patient. Boy did that patience pay off. Sarah was finally able to ask what drinks we would like. I teased her that water would be great if we ever get it. lol. Sarah immediately new we were kidding and fired back with a little sarcasm of her own. She was wonderful the entire. Sarah brought our bread out. It was very good, but the sauce for dipping was the highlite. Sarah made some recommendations, as we were first time diners. I had chicken parm and my wife ordered eggplant parm. We loved both dishes. Great attention to detail was taken in preparation and appearance. It looked better than any food I have ever seen pictured in a menu, and tasted even better. We followed dinner with chocolate cake and a raspberry sauce that still makes our mouths water. It was so food, we ordered more to take back to the hotel. I would say it is the best little spot in New Albany! Sarah's service and playful personality was the best part of our evening. “I have dined in and also ordered carry out many times. This place is one of my favorite go to’s for excellent food, baked breads and desserts! Love the Strombolis, meatball sandwich, your bread pudding and cannolis are the best! The Orange Lavender bread is one of my favorites also. My friends and I tried out Legacy Pizza when they first opened and loved it. Very friendly staff and always a great dining experience. Just happy I can swing by and pick up curbside service while out shopping and in the area. The owner is always so nice! Highly recommend!”

“I finally get to visit this place after a while. They did get my attention when I posted the Friday Fish Day.

I love their location, and it does feel right. I love all of their decorations since it was unquie.

They have a good selection of beers, and I love how they have Guinness beers include and also local breweries too. I looked over the menu. They have great choice. I was impressed with their curried that made me want to try, which I would come back.

This time, I ordered samoas, which i never had it. It was so delicious and I love the sauce! Also, I ordered fish and chip. This fish and chips does remind me of my visit in Dublin, Ireland, which i miss it so much.

I truly appreciate how the people work there keep check on me. I truly appreciate it.

“Parlour Pizza is obviously a pizza restaurant, but their chicken wings are amazing! Genuinely some of the best I have ever had and my personal favorite wings in the Louisville and Southern Indiana area. You can’t go wrong with the Hot Honey wings. (Yes I dropped the ball with no wings photo, but trust me. Just get them as an appetizer or your full meal) The pizza is also really great with flavorful ingredients. Not your typical run of the mill pizza (which is a great thing) with some great olive oil based pizza as well as red sauce options. I recommend the regular crust. I’ve never had anything bad to eat here when it comes to the pizza and wings.

Overall good solid atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food that is priced well. The only negative mark is that the service could be faster and more attentive, but the server was very friendly. Overall I cannot complain and will be a regular customer. This is a place that I hope will continue thriving for many years to come. I especially love the New Albany, IN location. Keep up the great work Parlour Pizza. 🍕 🍗”

“Heine Bros State Street has a very special place in my heart. I have been going there for years, and the last couple I go almost every morning on my to work. Even when the line is wrapped around the building I always get to work on time! The baristas are kind, efficient and so personable. They know my order and most of the time I don’t even have to say it they just know me ☺️and they even learned how to spell my name! I genuinely feel like a valued person when I go there, and I hope the baristas know how much I appreciate them making me feel like not just a customer but also a friend. I can’t recommend this store enough!”

“Ariel was wonderful. The dentist next door made us leave the waiting area because my 2 year old threw a 2 year old tantrum for 45 seconds and I was told they couldn’t have that. So we walked down there and I was upset and began to talk about it and she was immediately sympathetic and offered the baby to play with the blocks and stuff in the back until my son was done. Super nice of her. The Chai Latte I got was the best I ever had, and I’m not just saying that because of the help. It was delicious. Thank you Ariel”

“April 13th, 2026 Another Update: The new manager, I believe he's the new GM there, Charles, is great. He goes out of his way to take care of customers properly. I haven't had anything since he's been there except the stuffed crust pizzas but he's been doing a great job on those for sure! Updated the star rating accordingly.

Update: credit to management for at least replying to the original review, shown below. Now for an update: I didn't wait a couple of months. They started advertising a new pan pizza. Sounded good, looked good, Detroit style, I'm in. So I ordered a couple. I'm uploading one picture. The sauce was applied to both pizzas the exact same way. It's not that hard. A real small line near the edge of the tray? Seriously? Then a couple of days later - because I had a birthday reward for a free cinnamon wheel -I go ahead and order a papa's picks four cheese pizza on original dough. You would have thought I ordered a thin crust pizza, and very poorly prepared at that. This is a perfect example of the dough management and product preparation I complained about in the original, recent review. Hopefully somebody there will see this and train the employees to ensure quality products being prepared at this location. Feel free to contact me, you kind of owe me a pizza based on recent experiences I would say, to be fair. At any rate, pictures to follow.

Until this location improves their dough management, I won't be back. I guess it'll be a hit and miss thing but I'm going to give it a couple of months I guess. The last couple of times the dough either on the pizza or the cheesy bread or both has been very much substandard. Like it was old or something.

It's a shame. Used to be such a great product. Staff has been fine in terms of friendliness. It's product quality that's been the problem.

To top it off, management doesn't even seem to pay attention to these reviews. I can't imagine ignoring feedback from customers in managing a business.”

“One of the items I got from there today was a large strawberry milkshake. The milkshake was literally sour. I spoke with Makayla Bishop. She said she put my name down for a free large milkshake, but said that was the only option. She was friendly about it, but I could not imagine serving someone a sour milkshake, and telling them the only option was to try another one of our milkshakes. I think if I buy a soured milkshake from your company, and I want my money back, because I will never buy another milkshake there again, I should have that option. She did say that she made the milkshakes fresh today. but that doesn't mean that it wasn't sour. This is a really poor business practice, especially for a two-star restaurant. You need to start listening to your customers. I think she handled it the best she could. but there are obviously unethical people telling her they can't give money back, even if they are served inferior products. Due to your unethical policy, I will be reporting this incident to the health department. You really think I want a free milkshake? I came for good service, not replacement food. y You policy suggests that you think you are doing someone a favor by replacing dangerous food that you serve. I only visited, because my son wanted a milkshake, and now he said he will never want to go there again either.”

However, as a vegetarian, I often end up driving farther to other restaurants because this is one of the few in the area that doesn’t offer tofu. Since tofu is an important protein option for me, I wish it were added to the menu. Overall, great staff and tasty food, but the lack of vegetarian protein options makes it harder for me to choose this spot more often.”

“I love both Pizza King locations, but I do prefer the Jeffersonville location. It's smaller, usually less crowded since it doesn't have a train side, and the staff is very friendly. I love their pizza, it's my favorite place to eat! The only downside is the fact they are closed on Mondays.”
