We were tourists scouting the area and heard this women-owned restaurant/pub has great appetizers and pizzas. What a beautiful restaurant storefront and friendly staff! Seating arrangements abound, with tables and chairs, booths, plumb couches, and a fireplace to cozy up with friends. There is also bar seating, which seems to be a favorite among locals. We asked who the owner is and were delighted that Barbara Haas was there and came over to our table to talk with us.One of the highlights of our visit was the unique Pesto & Veggie pizza on the menu. It's a delightful choice when you're in the mood for something lighter. I highly recommend the Hazelnut Goat Toast and the Charcuterie Boar for sharable entrees and appetizers. The Hazelnut Goat Toast, in particular, was a pleasant surprise with its roasted nuts and smoky honey, adding a burst of unique flavors. We were most impressed to see how all the staff love working here. The atmosphere is light and fun. They were all eager to serve us, and conversations with them were most pleasant. Our waitress offered menu suggestions that were ideal for our appetites. They let you make reservations in advance to attend events or book a party. Easy access for strollers and wheelchairs as there are no steps to the front entrance. The large front windows let sunlight pour in, and you can see other pleasantries on the street. It’s a pleasure to see this beautiful historic building so well maintained and bustling with happy patrons. While living in Minnesota, we plan to visit again if in the New Albany / Louisville area.

Lovely setting, I enjoy sitting on couches by fireplace with my service dog Allie. This is a restaurant struggling for identity...service is basic, greeting/host non existent . I watched a couple wait 20 minutes to be acknowledged & seated today at 2:30 pm, place empty!. I would have left! One more pet peeve as a consumer with dietary restrictions. The cheese bread appetizer is basically a flatbread pizza important to differentiate, I cannot manage pizza dough, but can tolerate bread - gluten issue! Apparently I could have requested GF...my bad! Still should be noted on menu...

We love this place and come here often from across the river! Everyone is so friendly, but our waitress Cameron this last trip, was exceptional! She made great recommendations and was so kind and attentive. The pretzels and wine cheese is absolutely amazing! It’s such a cute place to hang out for a meal or just a glass of wine.

Great food and atmosphere!!!! Barb and staff are always courteous and helpful. The wine is always good. The live music is sometimes too loud.

Stopped in here for a drink with some friends. I opted for a beer and my friends did a wine tasting. We were served by the business owner who was very friendly and prompt! Prices on wine and beer were reasonable. I was impressed by the interior and set up of this place. My partner has also been here previously for dining and says it was great, so I will have to come back soon for the food.

I recently discovered this winery and oh my gosh!!! The food is out of this world and it's so decently priced! It can have a fancier vibe or super casual which I love. I've been twice and they've had live music both times. Barbara, the owner, was my waitress both times I've been and she was SO good!! They have a good wine selection and the tastings are so fun!

Baer's City Winery is my favorite restaurant! The food is always delicious, and we've always had friendly service! Highly recommend the backyard BBQ pizza, the wine cheese and pretzels, the spinach dip with crispy pita chips and the Strawbizzle wine. I also like that they have a comfortable couch area and patio seating. This place is my go-to restaurant for sure!

We previously came here a month or so ago to check them out as a possible wedding rehearsal dinner. Fortunately we had reserved a private room and excellent service and food. The lobster Mac and cheese was a hit as was the fettuccine Alfredo. In fact everything was very good and we couldn’t have had a better server who was one of the nicest people we ever ever met. And let’s not forget the sangria of the day for a very reasonable $15 a pitcher or $5 a glass. Psst. Get the pitcher.

Bears city winery is the best winery I have been to in many years, enjoyed every wine I tasted. While they have some sweet wines, they have good variety of semi-dry and dry wines; bourbon barrel & more! They even have a food menu tons of great choices to choose from. Choose a Pesto & Veggie pizza and it’s delicious. What a beautiful facility and friendly staff! If I lived closer I would visit every week.

Formerly known as River City Winery it is basically the same winery with a new name. Great service and very good fettuccine Alfredo with a shared salad made for a good outing. And now it's our venue for our youngest daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner. And don't forget to check out their sangria of the day for $5 a glass and $15 a pitcher. Just remember it's street parking only but there appeared to be ample parking spaces nearby.
