“We live about 40 minutes away. So we don't make it to Leaven Bakery as often as we would like to! We were in town this weekend for surgery at Baptist. We she was released from her clear liquid diet I asked what sounded good. She asked me, if I thought Leaven would be open. (Due to it being Easter weekend.) So I left, to get her favorite cinnamon roll in town. We wanted to do something nice for the staff on her floor! So I ordered 8 additional rolls. I didn't picture nurses being able to sit still long enough to eat an entire roll. I asked if they could maybe cut them into 1/4 pieces. She went above and beyond placing the quarter pieces in small muffin papers with a splash of Easter decor! The nurses won't stop talking about how amazing they are and how much they appreciated it! Leaven is the definition of what smaller local businesses should be!Thank You!Chris Newlinps. I forgot to order sausage for her. She loves their house made sausage patties!“
“Only ever had their brownies and frosted sugar cookies since I started going there a decade ago. Finally tried their ‘double chocolate cake’ during this past Harvest and it’s now my favorite sweet treat of all time, truly. I’ve got it couple a times since, and just the other day tried the ‘strawberry cake’ and it’s also very very good. Will be back soon“
“Seems a bit hidden but definitely a gem in its own right for bakers. If you need it to bake a cake, pastry, or confection, they have it and in multiple flavors and colors. Not only that but they can even help you learn while you are there. My go to birthday cake supply store!“
“The downtown location has a small town charm. The building is rustic but yet contemporary. The staff are quiet, no one speaks much. Coffee is good and the hot coffee is very hot:). They offer delicious cold brews and what i like to call dessert blends, which are to die for. They offer a punch card for frequent guests, which gives a free beverage after so many punches. They offer a minor selection of baked goods, this location doesn't have as many baked items as the other CC locations. Bathrooms are clean. Dining area is comfortable enough, they offer couches and chairs, as well as table seating. Parking is a little small in front, but you can park in the back of the building and walk up the side ramp. My main issue is the hours for this CC location are very poor compared to the other CC locations.“
“Amazing food! Had the Rob Deep Dish, my fam got their own pizza and sandwiches they also loved. I asked for a substitution of bacon to replace the ham. They had a mix up and forgot to put the substitution in, which is fine -things happen. Unexpectedly, they comped me the messed up pizza and made me a whole new deep dish! Maybe I’m from an area with crappy restaurants but being left the food AND getting a replacement was a breath of fresh air! Will definitely return to eat some more delicious food“
