“Always a great place to hang out! I love that Dean Heckel plays there regularly. It’s dog friendly, great beer and drink selection. Only complaint is the food truck is always the same and isn’t that great. But you have the option to bring in your own food.“

“We arrived at 4:30 p with plenty of seats available. We were told to sit wherever we liked. Once seated, Emily came to our table and took our beverage order. Emily came back and took our puzza order which was a Roundhouse (Burnt cheese edge) with 10 toppubgs qhich can be alternated. The puzza was fine and Emily came by table a couple times to check on us. We will probably come back. They have many local brews if you like that. There is no military discount.“

Floyd County Brewing Company Brewery • $$
129 W Main St, New Albany

“This is the second time I have visited this establishment and I'm on the brink of not returning! I had the Motley Crueben and it has to be the best ruben I have had thanks to the house made thousand island dressing.....but...service was terrible. Waited around too long to fill growlers while watching the waitress sneak off to smoke a cigarette. Then proceeded to the bar in the restaurant only to have the rudest bartender I have ever met ignore me and walk off while I'm holding my wallet, ready to order 1 last beer before leaving. Hire a better bartender!! If it wasnt for the beer and food it would have been 1 star.UPDATE:Service seems to have gotten better but I mainly stick to the bar area vs inside. Would rather sit outside away from people anyways, especially when there is live music! Increased by 1 star.“

West Sixth NuLu Brewery • $$
817 E Market St Suite 101, Louisville - 5.21 miles

“Truly one of my favorite places in Louisville to grab a pint, a very, very tasty pint in fact. If you're a fan of hazy IPAs, I recommend you look no further than my favorite tap of Fuzzy Fields. As the name suggests, this perfectly golden and yes, fuzzy, hazy IPA sends tingles to every last one of your taste buds. The ambiance is very relaxed. Beer tenders are all kind and friendly. You can bring your dog. No food served but Nulu is stacked with options you can bring in to munch on while you sip glorious beer. They have a really great trivia event every Sunday at 5:00. Jake, the host, is fantastically charismatic and puts together a challenging but fun to play game.“

“We went here for a bingo event and had an absolute blast! I wont lie, when we first walked in the vibe just seemed off. We weren't greeted by anyone and had no clue where to sit or how to order drinks or food. We finally asked one of the staff members and got it all figured out. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly! The bingo event was so much fun and we won a bunch of really cool prizes! We will definitely be returning!“

Monnik Beer Company Brewery • $$
1036 E Burnett Ave, Louisville - 6.33 miles

“The atmosphere is great, tho the sounds accumulate and it was hard to talk at times. If you want a quiet place to speak to your date, perhaps not the place. But if you want to chat with your neighbors at the communal table, the vibe is there for it.So I really enjoyed the flavors of the hummus platter and the presentation was pretty. But as you get to the thicker end of the carrots it became hard to bite off a piece. I think this could be easily solved by the carrots being sliced lengthwise. It would still look great and it would be a more enjoyable experience. The pretzel didn't quite have the pretzel flavor, but the flakes of salt and thickness of the bread made up for that. I ordered the mustard since it didn't have dairy in it, but definitely received a cheese sauce. My partner enjoyed the garbanzo bean burger and said he would've appreciated the patty being less mushy. The drinks had fun names and alluring flavor combos! I enjoyed the Marky Mark and the Funky Punch.“

Wild Hops Brewery Brewery • $
1001 Logan St Suite #127, Louisville - 5.76 miles

“By and large, Logan Street Market's businesses cater to the daytime crowd. Wild Hops Brewery is the main attraction after dark, and while it's not the only evening vendor in the building, it's certainly capable of carrying the place on its own. This isn't just the token bar that every market like this must have; it's a full-fledged and deeply enjoyable brewery that can stand with the best of 'em.IPA fans will feel especially blessed here. Wild Hops' Spruce Tip IPA is a serious contender for the best non-cyclical beer in the Louisville Metro. Always available and always brilliant, this IPA is surprisingly malty and honeyed, resulting in a flavor that's strikingly full-bodied instead of overly sweet or botanical. Simply put: I adore this thing. Wild Hops frequently supplements the Spruce Tip with small batch pale ales, and I was really impressed with the session-strength Inner Circle and skillfully smooth X Paradisi. If you recoil at IPAs, Wild Hops still has you covered. There aren't a ton of active taps but some nice variety is on deck, including the Lady of the Night stout and the Happy Diego Mexican lager. The latter is less crispy and more floral than I expected from a Mexican lager, but I quite enjoyed it all the same! And if you don't want to stick strictly to beer, the spirits selection is nothing to scoff at, especially as far as bourbon is concerned. Frankly, it's difficult to imagine Logan Street Market without Wild Hops. It's a really appealing cornerstone for the whole complex, and as much as I enjoy the food and pinball under this roof, their beer is ultimately the highlight of each visit.“

Apocalypse Brew Works, LLP Brewery • $
1612 Mellwood Ave, Louisville - 5.97 miles

“I've passed this place many times without stopping in. It just doesn't look appealing. But, it's on the Books and Brews list, and I had enough time for one beer before dinner. And the space is as unappealing as I had imagined. Industrial and small. It was cold out. Luckily, there were stool spots available inside. I had the barleywine, (I love that the local breweries (Falls City (prefered) and Butchertown both have it as well) are doing this style. I also tried the porter and the oatmeal stout. Sadly, none of these beers clicked for me. They all had a tinge of sourness to them. Might just be part of the brewers flavor profile. So, how does an unappealing space and beers that didn't cluck for me add up to four stars? The people! Both staff and some regulars were an absolute joy to be around and get to know. If eating didn't need to happen, I would have happily had another beer that didn't click to continue conversing with them. I'll be back for that reason.“
