“I really enjoy coming to this Chinese restaurant because the service is always friendly and the food is consistently good. However, as a vegetarian, I often end up driving farther to other restaurants because this is one of the few in the area that doesn’t offer tofu. Since tofu is an important protein option for me, I wish it were added to the menu. Overall, great staff and tasty food, but the lack of vegetarian protein options makes it harder for me to choose this spot more often.“

“They need to update their signs and google descriptions, etc, but their food is surprisingly good!
They look sketchy on the outside but I think it’s just because they don’t get a lot of business
They don’t have a buffet, but you can see what they have and choose what you want!
It’s good if you want Chinese but don’t want to eat in :)“

“Today is stopped in for a quick lunch at the Asian buffet in New Albany, it was really good. 13 bucks is average even in a small town where I live for a Chinese buffet and they don't have half of what Asian buffet has on their buffet. I was really surprised, because they had your typical Asian items, as well as fresh rolled sushi, and even a Mongolian barbecue w/ fresh shrimp and pork.
Not only did the buffet have rice noodles and lo mein, but the Mongolian grill had rice noodles and lo mein to be cooked right into your food. You could ask for spicy or regular what I got was right in the middle, which is what I ordered, so it was perfect for me.
I was just in town for a conference and it was 10 minutes away, but if I lived here I would go there frequently. My waitress was amazing, and kept up on my drink refill when it was halfway empty she filled it back up. As far as the selection goes, they have five double-sided bars I didn't even get to make it down all the rows,. But they had the Staples, chicken with broccoli beef with broccoli, mushrooms, green beans, general tso's chicken, all the soups, salad bar, all the deep fried chickens and wontons and crab rangoon. They even had fresh pizza for the kids that weren't interested in normal Chinese food. LoL.
I would highly recommend if you're in the mood for any kind of Asian food, it was high quality for a buffet“

“This is not fast food. They don't serve the salty, oily, super sweet American/Asian hybrid slop that the fast-food places tend to serve.
This a place to sit with friends and talk while you enjoy some good food. A large part of our conversation is usually about how good the food is.
They have a lot of choices on their menu, and they accommodated one of our parties' dietary restrictions without a blink. They let her pretty much make up her own dish (which after she described what she wanted, turned out to be almost the same as an item on the menu that she didn't see.)
The food is great. The service is great. The prices are reasonable.“

“Great American version of Chinese food cooked by real Chinese people.
They should care about how the place looks and feels more.
It is clean, but empty. Looked like a warehouse when we visited.
They should offer a true chinese food menu.“

“First time I ever ate Chinese two days in a row! Food was perfectly made. I thought all fried rice taste the same until I tried theirs. Manager Tony is as awesome as the food! Gotta try their new Thai Tea it is also very good! My opinion, best in Louisville!“

“What a pleasant surprise! The staff were so friendly, and the wait from ordering to being served was practically nonexistent. The food was absolutely delicious—I can’t stop thinking about it. I really want to go back and try some of the other dishes!“

“Please note it's carryout only.
Clean, quiet, super friendly staff and fantastic food at good prices. Location on Southside can be a bit congested but you can sneak right out onto Strawberry for a light or a detour.
Will definitely be back. Pepper steak was awesome. Big menu. Recommended.“

“Chicken cooked very good has a crispness to it that many fail at. Rice was avg at best the only thing stopping it from getting a 5 star is general Chicken sauce is a little to sweet and a bit to thick. But overall a good place for lunch or dinner“

“This was the first time i have ordered from here, but it will not be the last. We got take out - steamed dumplings, chicken fried rice and some boneless spare ribs. 😋 Everything ordered was exceedingly flavorful and delicious, even warmed up.
But I especially loved the jin jin sauce that came with the dumplings. Normally, at other Chinese restaurants I have ordered from, I do not like the sauce that is served with the fried or steamed potstickers/dumplings. But when I opened the container for my steamed dumplings, the sauce lid had popped open just enough to release an aroma - it smelled wonderful, so i tried it. It was insanely good and enhanced the flavor of the dumplings. Yummy. I loved it so much I had to call to ask what the sauce was because it did not taste like the sauce other restaurants have provided. The lady on the phone was very sweet and took the time to tell me what it was so i would know for future orders. Turns out, it isn't soy sauce but a delicious sauce made from scallions and ginger... soooo very good.
And the boneless spare ribs are wonderful - juicy and mostly tender meat - but i added a bit of duck sauce to make the sauce covering the meat even sweeter. All of it was delicious.
The only thing missing was fortune cookies. But that is the only negative. And honestly, the food was so good, I don't even care. I will definitely become a regular. And the value - the cost versus the portion sizes is absolutely way worth it. Yummy. And the ordering was very easy through Beyond the Menu.“

“Best Chinese ive had in louisville. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Food was great. I love the way the cook the chicken. It was all crispy. We had the braised chicken and the general chicken. Everything had good flavor. Portions were good size. Actually a bit much. We couldn't finish. We will definitely be back!“

“I have came here very regularly since I was a small child. They did change owners once, but they’ve always maintained great food, great service. They are very hard-working. They are very consistent. I have eaten at many Chinese food places around Louisville in my 32 years and a lot will honestly leave me disappointed and sometimes sick. Here I’ve always loved the food. I’ve always got great portions for good prices and the prices remain consistent over all the inflation through the years.“

“I go here at least once every week or every other week. The fried rice is the BEST and I will ONLY eat from this Chinese restaurant. The people that work there are very nice and I love the 2 ladies that work there. All I do is call to place a to go order, give them my name, and they automatically know who I am and what I get is how often I go here 😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂. I would recommend to go here if you want to try some amazing Chinese food. They get 5 BIG STARS FROM ME 💜“

“This is my most favorite restaurant. I wish they would get on to doordash so I could have it delivered across the bridge to Jeffersonville Indiana. When I worked downtown Louisville at Humana we would eat there at least three times a week. All of the employees loved this restaurant. Please consider going on to doordash. I am disabled and cannot drive anymore so I cannot go to the greatest restaurant in Kentucky or Southern indiana. Thank you“

“Been coming here for years now, honestly one of the few places around that actually gives real portions of their food. I always have plenty of leftovers and extremely good flavor and seasonings to boot.
Seriously can't recommend this place and really hope they can get even more successful to get their own bigger building someday.“
“This is one of our Families favorite restaurants. Try their Orange Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice, Spare Ribs, Pepper Steak and Beef and Broccoli dishes. Also, their shrimp egg rolls are Great too. Plus, their Friendly and they have your food ready within minutes. I definitely Recommend this business.“

“Honestly? This place surprised me in the best way. Ate at The Place Deluxe Buffet and every single station felt intentional. The steaks were juicy and properly cooked, not the dry, forgettable kind you usually expect from buffets. The seafood was fresh and generous, and you could tell they didn’t cut corners with the ingredients. What really stood out was the variety. There’s so much to choose from, but everything actually tastes good—no filler dishes, no “just there for display” food. It genuinely felt like a curated spread instead of a chaotic buffet table. The service deserves its own mention. The staff were attentive without hovering, quick to help, and genuinely pleasant the whole time. It made the experience feel relaxed and smooth from start to finish. And let’s talk about the price—because this is the shocker. For how deluxe everything feels, it doesn’t destroy your wallet. You get premium-quality food, great service, and a full-on indulgent experience without feeling like you overpaid. If you want a buffet that feels elevated, satisfying, and actually worth it, this one’s a solid yes. I’d go back without thinking twice. 🍷✨“

“I'm going to be honest. I thought I was going to a place where I could street fight, like in the game. This was not the case. 🫤 However, the food was good. That's why I gave it four stars. But if you're looking for a place to street fight, I would go somewhere else.“

“I love to find hole-in-the-wall Chinese. The food here was good: big portions. We both had the Moo Goo Gai Pan. Incredible sweet tea...and a billion odd things you dont normally find in a Chinese Restaurant, like multiple frozen slush machines.
The a/c was out so they had fans blowin4g everywhere.
It's in a rough neck of the woods so be prepared. I wouldn't seek this restaurant out.“

“Stopping through Louisville and from Denver. Stayed at a local hotel and this place does not disappoint. My wife and I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, egg roll, and fried wonton and all were delicious. Super reasonable pricing but then again, when you're from Denver, everything is super reasonable. I doubt if I'll ever be through Louisville again but I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Really good food and fast, I liked that they made me confirm my details before handing me the food when I picked it up. They did put the wrong sauces in the bag so we had to make our own dipping sauces at home for the fried wautons. Recommend the Chicken n Broccoli and Beef n Broccoli with fried “

“We love China One. Tosha makes every experience there feel like coming over to a good friend’s house for dinner. We love the personal greetings, thoughtful questions and attention to detail she demonstrates each time we go. It’s one of the only places we drive to instead of door dashing because we know Tosha will make sure everything is done exactly the way we like it. Definitely my favorite takeout Chinese food restaurant in the city!“

“Since the Panda Express in Jeffersonville opened, I have been there many times. The food is always hot and fresh and it is plentiful. Normally I go through the drive-thru and the staff at the window is always friendly and cheerful. And, unlike many fast food restaurants, there has never been a mistake with my order. The manager and owner of this store should be very proud of their staff.“

“Hadn't had Chinese in a while so I called in an order for carry out. The place is tiny and not really conducive to dining in. Even less so this day due the ball game in progress between the two young boys out in front of the counter. Ball game aside, the food had just come out of the kitchen just after I walked through the door. We got four egg rolls, an eight piece order of crab Rangoon, a large General Tso's chicken, which was actually cooked Sezchuan style (spicy), and a vegetable egg foo young. The two entrees both came with white rice. That fed two adults twice, plus a snack a third time.“
