“So we haven't been here for a couple of months and once again we were pleased with the James Beard approved restaurant. They were very busy when we arrived but we were quickly seated in the German beer accented bar area. While the price has increased for a family style fried chicken dinner, we were once again treated to their award winning chicken along with all you can eat slaw, mashed potatoes w/gravy and green beans. If you haven't already tried Wagner's, what are you waiting for?”

“Soooooooo gooooooodddd!!! My husband and I were staying at Mary Helen's BnB...which is a phenomenal establishment...and we wanted to try a new place to dine. I'm so thankful we found The Union Bar & Grill! We had a pick up order & about pulled over to devour our food because it smelled sooooo delicious. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich that was huge, an order of fries & the cheesiest Mac n' cheese! Believe me, folks can & have messed up Mac n' cheese. There had the absolute best!!! I had the 1lb jumbo smoked wings & a double order of salad. I was SHOCKED that my wing order came with 2 sides. The wings were smoked perfectly & so juicy. I had a side of the garlic parm sauce....SOOOOOOO GOOOOOODDDD!!! I haven't had garlic parm that flavorful before. Soooooo gooooddddd!!! Our portions were plentiful & we were beyond pleased with our food!!! Thank you The Union Bar & Grill!!!”

“The younger girl taking our order was very friendly and helpful. The gentleman making our sandwiches was also very friendly and helpful. They made wonderful recommendations. We are bigger so I would say the seating wasn't very comfortable for us, but that in no way took away from the atmosphere and experience. Will absolutely stop in again on the way to Cincinnati. “If you're looking for some tasty Mexican food, go no further! Tons of great options here, and they're all delicious. HUGE portions for the money, you won't go away hungry. Come early if you're looking to get some at lunch, the line can get long, but be patient, it's worth the wait and the people running the truck work their butts off. 10/10 will be back again and again.”

“American Cheese Steak with onion rings was hot and delicious. The sandwich was a little larger than I expected. The onion rings were real onion rings not processed and seemed to be homemade. The sweet tea wasn't as sweet as I like it, but that's just a matter of personal taste. It won't keep me from going back. The server (sorry, i didn't get your name) was friendly and helpful. A+”

“Looking for incredible food? Don’t want to drive to Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky? If you’re in Southeastern Indiana or driving down I74 you NEED to make time to visit this amazing Bar and Grill! The food is always fresh and the service is second to none.I wouldn’t be surprised if this place ends up as a tourist attraction because it’s that good!We discovered it roughly a year ago and we can’t get enough! “I LOVE THIS PLACE! I've been here multiple times, and it's been really good! But, today, I went there, and they had a new drink I wanted to try! The girl who took my order (I was in the drivethrough) was immediately helpful, and told me that she liked it with liquid Cane sugar added! I told her that sounded amazing, and it sure was! The drink was perfect. The girl who took my order was so sweet! Her vibe was AMAZING! I was about to compliment how pretty she was, and she complimented me first! Literally love her!!! Never met her in my life, keep in mind! The drink was amazing my food was amazing, and the employees are amazing! I also work at a coffee shop in a neighboring town, so its amazing to see such positivity! It's harder than it looks! I really wish I got the workers name because she deserves a raise!!!”

“My husband and I made the pilgrimage on the final day of the Cherry Thing-A-Ling haul. We were literally there at the final hour. The lines of loyal customers were well-managed, and the purchase seamless. I had never had these delicacies before, but I can assure you they did not disappoint! From the photos, one might think they are sickeningly sweet, but this was not the case at all. Simply put, I can certainly see what all the fuss is about. After tucking away a couple dozen in the freezer, I am convinced I’ll be an annual customer!”

“Not what you would expect but OMG it was wonderful! We stopped in for lunch because we were on a delivery run and pulling up it looked like something out of a '60s sitcom and the inside was just about the same but man do they put the money, time and expertise into their stick-to-your ribs food! It was well worth the drive and WELL worth the money. It is definitely a hometown type of place but nobody was unwelcoming, they were very friendly, service was great and again, the food was perfection! Just like grandma used to make for Sunday dinners for the family. Make the trip it is worth every cent you spend.”

“Just be aware you'll be imho *excessively* up-charged on lattes for anything added or that is substituted for standard milk and caffeinated. E.g. you'll be up-charged for ordering: half-caff, whipped cream, nut/oat/soy milk. For example you'll pay $8.88 for a 12oz half caff, nut milk w a flavored syrup and whip! That is $5.24 worth of up-charges! (a standard latte is $3.64). Additionally: I have also ordered the exact same drink several times and have never been charged the same price twice (it's ranged from between $7 and $9).”

“I used the party room for my little one’s first birthday party. The owners were super accommodating, letting me come early to set up decorations and said we could rearrange the tables differently as long as we put them back how they were. Their service was great! The girls working kept up with all our food and drink requests. We ordered appetizers and drinks and ice cream, and it all was fantastic! I go frequently to satisfy my sweet tooth! 10/10 would recommend!”

“The only reason i give it 4 stars is because theres not really set hours. They just close when thier slow. (Which I understand) Just wanted to let you be aware in case it says it, or you drive out that way and they are closed. The fried pickles are my favorite!”

“Pleasant visit. Checked in late. Karen the night concierge was so delightful and welcoming. She made sure we took advantage of the complimentary travel breakfast. Nothing fancy just a packed school lunch style pastry, juice cup, and granola bar but it was nice just the same. I was a bit disappointed the attached restaurant was closed. Karen pointed out a few alternate options for dining within walking distance. Room was quaint and clean. We actually did love the firm mattress! Easy checkout as we grabbed our paper bag travel breakfast and headed home. Thanks for a pleasant stay. ?”

“Driving back to Cincinnati from Michigan, we decided to try Bennys for a late lunch. A very short drive off of I-74, we were pleasantly surprised. From Devin behind the bar to Benny the owner and other patrons, everyone was welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent! I had a cheeseburger and my girlfriend had the pulled pork. All I can say is WOW!!! We will be back again!”

“Fried chicken is amazing! Breading is light and not over powering with spices! Green beans and mashed potatoes are made to perfection! Servers are locals and as friendly as it gets! Only one little thing is that seating is worn and on its last leg. Could use updated booth, seats and tables. Seats and tables at least 3 decades old. Old style plates, cups, and bowls. Walls could use a good cleaning. Food and cobwebs on our booth. No one is going for updated seats and tables...locals continue to go for Great food and service!”

“Chef salad and pepperoni pizza is always good. It is always clean, and the atmosphere is nice. Booths make your dining experience cozy, and the high walls keep you partially secluded. Pizza King also has a Rewards program. If you don't want to dine in, you can always call ahead for pick up. Never a bad choice!”

“Very cool place. I had never been and made this the ending point for a bike ride from Batesville with my Dad. It had a very local vibe, but we were welcomed in immediately. For a remote dive bar they have a very good beer selection. It is worth the trip for the pizza. Service was very friendly. Will be back.”

“Love Godfathers Pizza. We get the Classic Combo. You get PLENTY of toppings. It's about a 45 minute drive for us, to the Batesville, Indiana location, but very much worth it. Never had a problem with this location.”

“Decent food. Only complaints I have were that they skimped on the food for the amount you pay for a bowl, and the kid put hot sauce on it instead of the Verde that was supposed to be on it after I told him I want it exactly how it's supposed to ”

“Recently renovated interior, dining room has large windows looking into the wine brewing room, beautiful scenery around the restaurant, free wine tasting and they have 18 different wines many of which are made from grapes grown right there on the property. There were no vegetarian main dish options on the menu, but the server spoke with the cook and made a fantastic pasta for me.”
