“Love this place. Atmosphere is nice for either a romantic date night or a little earlier with the kids. Their signature drinks are strong, creative, and tasty. This is our second time eating there and both times the food was delicious. Our servers both times were very nice and accommodating. The pretzel appetizer was hot and the cheese sauce was delicious. The barbeque pulled pork sandwich was also yummy with crumbled fried onions amd coleslaw on top with a pretzel bun. I had the ember salad with the raspberry vinaigrette and myself and the kids couldn't stop eating it. Their street corn chili soup was to die for. Even my picky toddler loved it. They also make an amazing grilled cheese for kids if requested which has been a hit.Definately recommend giving this place a try if ever passing through or in the area. All of that and my husband's beef sandwich meal and a few craft beers for 70 dollars which is reasonably priced nowadays.“

Wagon Wheel Bar & Grill Bar & Grill • $

“My husband and I stopped here for a couple drinks and a quick bite. This place was wonderful! It has a neighborhood dive bar feel for sure, but it was very clean and the staff was above and beyond friendly. One of the best burgers I have ever had…I can’t even wrap my head around it. The burger is so simple but they apparently season it with magic fairy dust.Well done y’all, well done ??????“

“The manager, Jose and the server were very welcoming and friendly. The location is slightly off the highway and adds approximately 20 min drive time (there and back) but still, if we drive through this road again we would definitely stop by there for the great Mexican food.“

Carpenter Creek Cellars Wineries • $
11144 Jordan Rd, Remington - 6.36 miles

“5 Stars well deserved! My husband and I were in vicinity of this winery on recent Sunday, so we made a stop. We were very nicely greeted and welcomed by the owner. We sampled 5 wines, we each picked a glass of our favorite and proceeded to the upper deck to enjoy it. We spent a good hour relaxing and since we had another 2 hours driving to Illinois we had to leave. We purchased a few bottles to take home. What I want to tell you is that Carpenter Creeck Winery has THE BEST WINES! The best testing wines! My husband and I visit many wineries and have been to wineries in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa and these are the best wines! The wine maker trully knows the art of making wine! The staff was very friendly, the inventory was very well displayed and simple to find the wines which we sampled. The only thing I would suggest is to "foo-foo" a bit the outside with few flowers, maybe even chickens or Peacoks LOL. But this is not a compalint at all, just a suggestion...“

the COWfé Vegetarian • $$
856 N 600 E, Fair Oaks - 8.41 miles

“The Cowfe sign promises "grilled cheese, ice cream, and chocolate." We ordered a grilled cheese each. The kids grilled cheese was an adult-sized portion and came on a different type of bread. Adding bacon made it great! Other reviews said they didn't have much cheese--we didn't have that problem and in fact the cheese was melting out the sides. It was a little pricey for grilled cheese, but it was fun knowing the sandwiches were made from the dairy farm cheese. Another family purchased a half gallon of chocolate milk to split, and I wish we did that instead of the sandwich + drink and side option! Service was quick enough that we didn't have any issues with an impatient toddler. The bathrooms were also nice and clean. Overall, it's a good road trip pit stop, especially with the gas station on the way out. We were in and out (including gassing up) in less than an hour.“
