“Best Chinese food in the this area. Small but what it lacks in size it makes up for In delicious food. The staff are all so friendly and kinda have become like part of the family. Like other restaurants in this town the building was once something else and I have a lot of memories going there when it was a Dairy Queen. Even more memories from when it was a Druthers. The carpet has worn where people walk and I can still see the pattern of the old tile floor and I remember spending many mornings there with my papaw with his Druthers coffee crew. So it now looks different inside but still feels like a comfortable place. I love going there my kids love hanging out with the employees when they finish their food. Just love this place!! You won't be disappointed.“
“They have the best crab ragoon in the city. I've tried so many other places and nobody's gets close. I love everything else I get here too from my veggie fried rice to their egg foo yung. They're always quick and really nice.“
“My overall rating is based mostly on the food, which is why you come in the first place. I think the food is pretty good and while I've only tried a small portion of the menu what I've had has been good to very good. It's prepared fresh to order, it's hot and the portions are large enough for most people.Unfortunately the service falls short. No one here acts as if they're glad you came. I've never seen any employee smile. They just go about their business and you can tell their main business is carry out because if you're dining in prepare to be treated as second class. You'll be waiting as they are constantly packing up to-go orders or on the phone taking orders. The phone is a priority over customers in the restaurant; if you've been waiting and the phone rings they are going to answer the phone first. Now once you're seated and they've taken your order the food comes out reasonably quick but no one will stop by your table after that to check on you. I've been here multiple times and it's always the same. The food and value are what keep me going back but the service is lacking unless you have plenty of patience. As for the restaurant itself, it's very basic and clean.“
“This place was amazing. I am so glad we stopped here to eat yesterday. The kimchi was the best I have ever had. My daughter wanted to try it for the first time and we both liked it. She ordered shabu pot and said it was very good. I ordered hunan tofu and it was delicious. We also split a sushi roll that was very good. Trinity tried the strawberry milk tea with boba. The man who waited on is was very nice, helpful, and just all around awesome. We will be back! I've been telling people since yesterday that they should go too.“
“Nice little Chinese restaurant downtown. Their food is great and the employees are friendly. They usually have your order ready in ten minutes or less. They keep it clean. My favorite Chinese restaurant downtown. The pork fried rice I ordered there today was delicious.Parking: Their parking area is in the rear of the building. There is plenty of parking back there.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheel chair accessibility in the parking lot and the entrance. You will probably need someone to hold the door open for you when you go in. I went in there on crutches one time. I had a little trouble with the door.“
“I am a regular customer at China Star located next to Kroger supermarket at North Hubbards Lane. The restaurant is run by a friendly and warm husband and wife team. The food is tasty and economically priced. My family and I wish them the very best.“
“Had a minor hiccup that was entirely the fault of doordash. But once we figured out the issue, the woman I spoke to was more than helpful and went above and beyond to correct the problem. The food was great, and I would definitely be willing to eat there again. Great job.“
“Best Chinese food in the area! We moved 45 minutes away and still come here for our Chinese cravings! Only place we've ever picked food up from that's still hot when we get home too! Yesterday is was in the bag for almost 2 hours and I still had to blow on the noodles ?“
“It's your typical small Chinese restaurant. The best thing is that the carry-out service is quick and doesn't cost a ton, which is becoming a rarity downtown. Never tried the buffet because I'm not a buffet person, but people always seem to be eating it during lunch time.“
“The food is good at this little Asian restaurant- everything is fresh and flavorful.I usually get a light dinner- an Egg Roll, a cup of Wonton Soup, and a kid's meal of Beef with Broccoli, all recommended.Service is pretty efficient, but not particularly friendly. The menu seems to be mostly Chinese, but they also have Sushi.“
“Ordered Door Dash while working in Louisville and it's always a toss up if someplace will be good or not. Let me tell you...Mongolian beef was exceptional!! I grew up in pacific rim so and so many Chinese places are "americanized" with run-of-the-mill (bland) flavors and less than authentic taste. This place gets it RIGHT and I will definitely be putting them on the places to eat when I'm back that way again!“
“I've loved Great Wall for over 20 years. A neighborhood staple. Best Chinese fast food in Louisville. I have eaten everything on the lunch menu. No really - everything in order. Garlic sauce and broccoli are highlights, but everything is exceptional. Great job Johnny!“
“Fantastic. I have been missing good Chinese food since I moved away from the one near me. This place is close by, easily accessible, kind on the phone, and has delicious food. ?Have returned and absolutely will again. As long as I live here, this is my Chinese food place.“
“Great food! I had the pork egg roll, General Taos chicken and fried rice. Large portions, quick service, and great food! Only thing that would make it a little better is if they had some soft traditional Chinese music playing in the restaurant! I’m very pleased!“
