“Got the half chicken and 2 sides. Let me tell you something, I'm a truckin' girl and I loved it. Chicken was moist and tender, not mushy or dry. It had simple, great flavor and a hint of smoke to hit. For my sides, I got the collard greans and baked beans. The collard greens were great! Not overly salty, and great clean flavor. The baked beans had a great sweet (not sticky, overly sweet) and a little kick at the end. Great bite. I got the new hot maple bbq sauce. Excellent all the way around. Couldn't ask for much more! good down home cooking.Oh! The homade potatoe salad is a killer, too! Got a sample of it! “We asked a local on a good restaurant. We were referred to Welch's. This was definitely a 10 star restaurant. I got the daily special, which was the pork chop. I can say this was the best porkchop I had ever paid for. Our waitress was outstanding! Food prices were less than expected. We sat and watched the Ohio River, enjoyed lunch, and had good laughs! My wife's laughs and happy times were worth every penny sent! Thank you, Welch's Restaurant! Sometimes, a little lunch and a great waitress can make a world of difference!“
