“A nice old-fashioned restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere and comfort food. I visited sort of at the end of breakfast and beginning of lunch, when the crowd of older folks gave way to an influx of working people. By the time I left they had a full house but seemed to be handling the business just fine. I had the Dragster Grilled Chicken Breast, covered with diced tomatoes, onions, and green peppers, which was pounded out and nicely grilled. It would have been perfect smothered in some melted cheese. I'll have to ask for that next time. My sides were a HUGE baked potato baked just right and a side salad; all that with coffee for under $15. The server and the proprietor both checked on me more than once. It was a good experience I hope to repeat soon!“

“The place in Hebron was the worst place I have been to eat. Never got our food and watched a person in kitchen take fries from a plate and eat them!“

“We used to eat here a lot more than we do now due to kids and their food allergies, but we still have it about once a month when we find time to eat alone. We have been coming for years and have never had an issue! We're creatures of comfort and usually pick between the sweet and sour chicken, bourbon chicken, sesame chicken, and general tso's chicken (mild because I'm a wimp). I always get pork egg rolls and the lo mein. We get carryout, which usually takes 15-20 minutes unless you get bourbon chicken, which takes 30(?), and the food is still hot and fresh when we get home. Great experience for us EVERY time. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant sooner.“

“Having lived in California and Texas for years, I've become skeptical of eating anything called Mexican food away from a border state. However...while El Toro Bravo is more Tex-Mex than actual Mexican, I'm glad I gave this place a chance. The steak and rice I ate was perfectly respectable and very flavorful. The waiters were as nice as they could be. And, it seemed like everybody in the neighborhood was in there, as indicated by how hopping the restaurant was. I'd return.“

“Very gluten free friendly. They only use corn tortillas. We had the chicken nachos and chicken tacos. Both were excellent. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Everyone was friendly and helpful.Dietary restrictions: My husband is celiac and had no problems.“

“You know it's a good bakery when they sell out everyday! You most definitely want to get to this hot spot early. I have never liked doughnuts, like ever. Until I tried the doughnuts at OakBrook Bakery! They are absolutely amazing and you can tell that a lot of love went into them! They also have amazing soft pretzels, cookies, cupcakes, and more. I absolutely love their icing. It is so good, and everything is made fresh daily! I highly recommend going here.“

“My boyfriend and I came in tonight closer to closing. He ordered the steak, shrimp, and chicken hibachi with fried dumplings and I had the teriyaki chicken bento box with spicy crab sushi, and crab Rangoon. The food was SO good. But, I think the shining point of dinner was their young daughter coming up to play with us then later asking if we needed anything. You can tell this is a mom and pop type restaurant and I absolutely love it. I hope to come back in soon!“

“We love this place! Brought my 10 month old doodle and sat on the patio.id give 4-5 stars for food except this time.. everything was wrong. 1) tots ordered with sour cream OTS and it came on top. We didn’t send it back but asked for another as ordered. 2) Rise N Shine burger came out without the egg. That’s the point of the Rise N Shine burger. 3) another burger ordered medium but was well done. 4) sweet potato fries ordered without salt (for the dog) but came with salt. We did not send any of that back and told them not to worry about bringing an egg.. we just wanted them to know there’s a problem. The server apologized and felt bad.. we’ve ALL worked in the industry. We weren’t jerks at all. With ALL of these problems, no manager came over. They sent out an egg (burger was half gone by now and we told them not to). We didn’t ask for anything to be comped… although SOME BREAK on the bill.. at least the 2nd tots they had to remake..would have been appropriate.. but nothing. Well give them another chance because it is good when the order is right but a little disappointed in the non action when so much was wrong!!“

Fish and chips had splendid flavour, hisban’s pizza was delicious, our extremely picky toddler ate a decent piece. For desert we got caramel cheese cake (no photo) and husband got doughnut holes. “Knuk n futz is such a quirky little restaurant and it might be my new favorite place to get wings in the area. The unusual amount of trinkets hanging on the wall reminded me of a cooler Cracker Barrel.The three of us came in on a busy Friday night and were seated right away. The place was packed within a half hour. We all got a beer and a shared appetizer to start off with. The soft pretzels and beer cheese were awesome. The beer cheese was pretty spicy which we all enjoyed. Our server was great, unfortunately I cannot remember her name. The wings were exactly how I prefer. Fried fairly crispy, and just the right amount of their delicious sauce. I got the parm garlic with a medium heat level. The homemade ranch is good as well. I also had to get the smiley fries because I haven't had them since I was a kid. The women's restroom has a poster of famous heartthrobs dating from the 80's up to now. That was a crowd pleaser at my table. Can't wait to go back!!“

“I love a good gyro and they did not disappoint. The food is weighed so it should be consistent with each visit. I could've used a little more tomato onion and sauce. They have some different options available here that aren't at most gyro places. Variety is nice. The service was fast and friendly. The dining room will hold a good amount of people, it didn't seem like they would have a problem with seating no matter how many in your group. They after a lot of takeout too.“

“Such a cool pizza restaurant! The vibe was fun and upbeat. We ordered take out, only took 25 minutes during the dinner rush and the pizza was delicious! We had the Pacific Rim minus the jalapeños, it was full of fresh flavor and had a sweetness to it. Boys loved their cheese pizza. The workers were really nice and talked with us. Recommend!“

“First time ever at a Raffertys!When I'm back home in the Cincinnati area, I eat all the mid-west beef I can because florida restaurant beef SUX!!Prme Rib, rare, was outstanding. Damn near as good as the Gatehouse Taverne which no longer exists. Bar service was great, Shelly took very good care of me even though I don't drink alcohol. It was also nice talking it up with the locals, two older ladies that come every Friday, They even said, get the Prime, it taste like the old Gatehouse Taverne. I also informed them that I used to manage the Drawbridge Inn, instant friendship.“

“I'm not a huge chicken fan and I don't eat fish. So why go to 1883 in Union KY for lunch. Well the three ladies I was with wanted to go there. Naturally I complied. I didn't want a huge burger but I wished that they had a BLT. Here is where my rating comes in at a 5! They took the time to make me a BLT and fries. When a restaurant changes something for a picky patron, that left a Very Strong Impression on me. Couple that with one of the best servers that I have ever encountered. “Food was tasty but not hot. They brought out the wrong dish. Set it in front of us. Came back a few minutes later and we told them they gave us the wrong dish. Watched them take it back to the kitchen where they looked to see what table it should go to. They then took that dish and served it to another customer. Be careful your food might have been in front of another customer before it gets to you. That’s a health code violation, wonder what else they are doing to save a buck“

“We were vacationing to visit the Noah's Ark Encounter and my wife wanted a little taste of home so we went with Taqueria Ramirez. We visited the #1 versus one of the other 2 since it was recommended to us. It was a little difficult to find it since it was in the back on the side of a salon attached to a grocery store. We walked in and on one side it seemed kind of crowded with the seating, but the main side had plenty of room and was decorated to give you a surrounding of Mexico. We were immediately greeted by the waitress who was very pleasant and welcoming. My little girl ordered rice and beans, my wife a soup and my boy the Seafood Mochete (he likes shrimp and octopus...this had both plus). I ordered nothing knowing we would have leftovers and that my boy would not finish his. The food was delicious...every ounce. Only a few issues. The price was really high in my opinion all in all. Unfortunately, I didn't get an itemized receipt to know what was charged for each dish, but the base amount was $80. We tipped $9.52 and used credit card to pay which tacked on another $4. Total we paid $94. They offer no military discount.“

“I’ve been going here for years and this place will forever be my favorite restaurant. The employees are always very friendly. They ask how you are doing before and after your meal, and smile often. And the food is to die for! The chips and salsa is always flavorful and extremely delicious. “Decided to go to Barleycorns as the weather was great and they have a patio. Service was spot on from the moment we arrived. Decided to try something from the Lent menu and had the salmon. I was a little leery because the price was low. However, the quality was not and the dish was outstanding! Felt like I got a great value for my money. My son had the wings- doc style. I had to have one because they were so big. Really delicious, except he didn't get the Blue Cheese! Will definitely go back“

“This was a very horrible dining experience we ordered there ribeye and added there bacon jam to steak when steak came out both were missing bacon jam the waiter took off before we could tell him finally got the bacon jam on side my steak was tasteless the salad maby had 5 sprigs of cheese on it garlic vegetables almost tasteless small portions when waiter brought our bill he held it in his hand not showing us and said I will take your payment my husband said can I see bill first lol oh ya and handed it to us 85.00 the steaks were 32 00 a piece the menu in restaurant said 27.00 and on line menu said they were 26 the waiter said inflation let me get manager who said the online menu was not there’s in one breath and in next breath said said he would let them know to change it and walked off we were from Illinois visiting ark encounter it was our anniversary so I will be sure to tell everyone in Illinois if they visit Don’t eat here and I scratched out tip on receipt I always leave an 18 to 20 percent tip but not today here’s your tip you are rude and outrageously priced“

“Got Bourbon chicken, egg roll and some dumplings for later. The atmosphere is alright, nothing fancy but not the ugliest or worse looking place I've been in, very quite. It's hard to rate service since that can change day by day but for me I waited over 30 minutes to get any of my food (only 1 person ahead of me) and the lady taking my order was very nice. For the food; the dumplings where very good, the egg roll was a lot smaller than what I was expecting but pretty much what you'd expect and the rice was good too. The bourbon chicken was tender and delicious however I would have perfered more sauce on it or it swimming in it as it was a bit dry and needed it. All in all out of all the Chinese restaurants I've had this one would make the top 10 but not my top 5.“

“It was a group of 4 people, it was 830pm and there were only about a handful of people besides us there. The server was not attentive at all, we had to keep tracking her down for refills, items we needed and for her to clear the table as we finished our salads and they're bringing our main dishes out, table was small and there wasn't enough room for everything which made it difficult to hard to eat our food. Just no reason for it all.The food was delicious, hot and the only thing was that the garlic bread could've been more toasted and not so soggy with the cheese on it.Overall - I give it a 3 out of 5. “First time ever being to a Waffle House as we don't have very many of these in Michigan. But driving through Ohio and Kentucky they are everywhere! So we had to try it, and it didn't disappoint! Everything was good. I had the waffle house favorite, which came with eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns and a waffle. My kiddo ate his entire peanut butter waffle and loved it, and he's a picky eater! The servers were really nice and friendly. I liked the vibe of this place, old diner style where you can sit and watch them cook and they even have a jukebox.“

It had great food, great service, and the restaurant had been recently renovated so it had a nice modern feel to it.Our server was the sweetest lady. She brought all of our pizzas (impressively balanced on her arms) at once, and the pizzas were delicious and piping hot! We also got the garlic bread as a shareable side. I got the classic pepperoni, and it perfectly satisfied my pizza cravings. Usually we go to shop a couple times per month at their market next door (Supermercardo Garcia) to get cooking ingredients for my wife's (latina) authentic home- country dishes. I will admit that if I wasn't fluent in Spanish it could be tough to get some of the small particular things across. However, every waitress that's served us has at least spoke broken English. Quality has always been really good there, and pricing is in line with others. Never had any issue with food being warm or waitress being slow. We always have a great experience. I would suggest any of the tacos, tilapia and save room for dessert, order the Flan - it's the BOMB!“
