“I called in for a 6 pack to go.. I got there a few minutes later than what they said.. it wasn't ready.. and that was okay, but no one asked me why I was there, even though several people looked at me sitting there with money in my hand. One lady finally did acknowledge me and went to see if my order was up.. it wasn't, but she walked past me and didn't tell me anything.. this went on for several minutes.. I finally received my order, and yes, the sandwiches were hot and fresh. I just thought it was rude not to inform me what was going on or give me an estimate on how long it would be.“

“Any visit to Washington is only complete if we make at stop at Bobe's. It's my hometown, and of course everyone has a 'hometown favorite' but in the case of Bobe's I'm not sure I know a single person from Washington who doesn't go there when visiting! As usual, we ordered the Farouk (supreme) for our dine-in experience. It was perfect as usual. The restaurant was crowded, but no real wait for a seat or the food. In addition to our pizza, we ordered several 'half baked' pizzas to take home for the deep freeze. This is a tradition, and usually lasts us a few months. If you haven't tried this, just order when you place your dine-in order and tell them you'll want to take howevermany half-baked home with you. They'll have them waiting. Take them home, head them up and you're enjoying Bobe's from wherever you call home now. Since my parents left and we no longer have any family in Washington, we basically make the drive just for the pizza and take-home. If you're in town, it's #1 on your list for great food. Keep in mind they don't open until 4:00PM so time your visits accordingly! Best pizza in Indiana.“

“I was beyond surprised at just how wholesome this restaurant is. The "quick lunch" menu had great choices. I rarely repeat restaurants, but I spent 2 lunches here. First, I had their ribeye sandwich. It's always hard to pull off, but they did marvelously, so I came back the next day for a sandwich I hadn't seen on a menu for a very long time....the Monte Cristo! It was better than I expected. The hand cut slice of ham stole my ❤️.The atmosphere is quiet, warm, friendly, and laid back without feeling like lazy if you know what I mean. The staff were Hometown good folks with real professionalism.Get this, though! Their salad bar had very fresh HAND CUT Romaine lettuce to start. Every vegetable in it was beautiful. It was kept tidy and clean. It's definitely a great place for lunch! I will be back!“

“I love this restaurant.. its a little bit pricey or I'd go alot more. Wish they had a customer loyalty program...or punchcards...other than that, there's no better Stromboli for your money in this area beside Nicole's restaurant.“

“Restaurant on Wednesday has a Senior day starting after 3pm for $11.99/person. Nice atmosphere & lots of great tasting food, but pie was not included in price. Don't know where I would have put it if it was included. Cobblers & cookies & ice cream and salad bar was included. No wonder the place was close to being full. Nice buffett!“
“Wanted something different for lunch and decided to make the trip. From my house, it was a 2 hour drive down 69. I haven't driven back roads in a while and was delighted to see all the farm animals and the Amish carriages. The restaurant seating is pretty large. Before you get seated, there's a general store. Reminds me of Cracker Barrel kind of but this one seems more authentic. I wished we stayed to shop. The buffet has a large variety: large salad bar, vegetables, meatloaf, fried fish, chicken and a large, large variety of desserts. I love that all is homemade. And it was delicious! Out of respect, I personally didn't snap pics. The bakery is connected as well and we left with a German chocolate cake and a cherry pie.“

“Moving here 17 years ago from San Francisco, finding aplace that has pupusas wa not easy! But in Washington, Indiana of all places. Small place, very, very nice staff. Pupusas were as good as any I've had anywhere. It was 92 degrees and the power went out on that side of town, but that just added to our adventure! Prices are RIDICULOUSLY LOW! 2 people, 8 pupusas, 2 drinks = $19! Definitely on our "places to go" lst!“
