“****Edit: Somehow my "does NOT recommend" was changed to "recommends". I do NOT recommend for group gatherings.*** I made a reservation for a work party and was told they do not like to book reservations on Friday nights, especially for parties larger than 12. That was right around what I was expecting; although, I may have had a few more. I made sure to get RSVPs from folks so I could pivot to a different location and cancel, if necessary. We ended up having 11 folks total in our party, so it worked out. The Bryant sent me a text the day before the reservation to ask that we keep the reservation limited to 2 hours or less (this would have been nice to know when I had booked ~3 weeks prior). Move to the day of: I got there around 20 minutes early thinking they could seat me at the table, if it was ready, or at least seat me right at 6 pm, since that was the time the reservation was for. The hostess informed me that they would not seat me until at least half of my party was there; so, I went to the bar area and had a drink while I waited for other folks to arrive. The bar staff was friendly and prompt. I closed out my tab for the one drink and moved back to the hostess area around 5:50, when I expected other folks to start arriving. I sat on the couch, and the first few folks started trickling in. I informed them of what I was told, and we waited until there were 7 of us there before I approached and told the hostess that over half of us were present (around 5:59). There was another woman at the hostess stand, whom I'm assuming was a manger with the way she was moving about the establishmen, who asked me when I expected the rest of our party to arrive. I told her I expected everyone there within a few minutes. She informed me that they would start getting waters on the table and then they would seat us. I found this a little odd; but, it wasn't a deal breaker. We ended up being seated about 10 minutes after our reservation was scheduled for. Again, I am flexible and understand that plans might need adjustments from time to time. Maybe they hadn't put the tables together yet, for all I knew. We got seated and the waitress got our drink and appetizer orders in. The waitress did a good job taking care of the large party and did what I needed her to with the bill (splitting it into two bills). Our food was delicious and the drinks were good. She was observant and was quick to get boxes for us as meals were finished. There were a couple desserts ordered: they arrived quickly and were delicious. Plates were being cleared around 7:50. A few folks may have wanted to order another drink or two; however, the lady manager proceeded to stop at our table around 7:53 to tell us they had another reservation at 8 and we needed to leave. Had they not delayed seating us and gave us a full 2 hours, I likely would not be leaving this review. I found the management rude for the amount of money that they were making in the hour and 45 minutes that we were there (over $550 was spent). In my opinion, kicking customers out of a dining establishment is not a good way to keep business. Although the wait staff and food was overall good, I do not intend on booking another group event at The Bryant: nor can I recommend it to anyone looking to book larger group events.”

“tried the shimp frice rice and mongolian chicken. both had really really great flavor. i have 2 complaints though:

the fried rice had exactly 4 pieces of shrimp, which i feel is a little non-generous.

i asked if they could use less oil and it doesn’t seem like they tried to listen. of course i understand that oil is necessary to cook with but the amount in these dishes, especially the mongolian chicken, seems genuinely excessive.”

My son reports that their restroom is one of the cleanest around. 😄”

“We have been to numerous Indian restaurants throughout USA, but this is undoubtedly the best among all of them. The onion samosas were so scrumptious and flavorful that they felt better than meat samosas. The chicken noodles (street style) and lamb biryani were also amazing. The lamb biryani had lots of lambs and truly delicious, significantly different than typical Indian lamb biryanis. This place is slightly expensive compared to other local Indian restaurants, but the serving size is almost double, so it’s worth the price. And most importantly the meats are all halal.

“This is my wife and I’s favorite restaurant in the Greater Lafayette area. #1!! We regularly go for brunch. Drinks are amazing. Out door seating area is very nice. I’ve never had an unpleasant experience here and have even had conversations with other patrons while enjoying the patio area.”

“My friend and I were at Homestead for lunch today. Our first time. And now our favorite place. Freshest salad bar with all the fixings and more! Dessert was fabulous too. Clean, friendly, and delicious to boot. You can also purchase frozen meals, pies, cookies, sauces, pretzels, etc al. and continue enjoying in privacy of own home. Definitely a place for ladies ( and gents) who like to lunch.”

“I've been a regular at Maru for 13 years and can confidently say they are the BEST sushi restaurant I've ever been to! I'm no longer living in WL and have tried many other restaurants in the hopes that I can find something just as good as Maru. My attempts have failed (not that I'm mad about it), so I will often come back to town JUST to eat at Maru. I've never been disappointed. The fish is always fresh, the sushi rolls delicious and very well priced, plus the service is amazing! We order the Ahi Tower, Sunday Morning Roll, and Playgirl Roll each and every time, but enjoy trying a new roll or two each visit as well! My absolute favorite restaurant of all time. <3”

“Went to 2 locations; Washington St yesterday and New York St. today. Hands down the best Americano I’ve had from a coffee shop. I get it hot and plain, and the flavor is smooth and amazing. Purchased their boxed concentrate today. Both locations had 3 staff member, all of whom were friendly and conversational. And if you like baked goods, the cappuccino muffin was the best muffin ever, I wish I could replicate the taste and texture at home!!”

“I live nearby to this Chinese restaurant and have done pick up for my family of 8 a couple dozen times or more over the years. They have good and very good food depending on what you order and although inflation has made them seemingly a bit pricey every restaurant that I have gone to has gone up, so I will say it has "relatively" good pricing. They are friendly and have always accommodated our orders for non-spicy (kids) and no sesame (allergy in the family). They are one of the three locals we frequent and my favorite of the three.”

“I'm personally not too well versed in Indian food, but Dakshin is definitely worth trying! Store is a little small, and service isn't too prevalent (orders are placed on kiosk). However, the butter chicken, naan, and biryani were great! Would recommend going with friends and sharing family style for the most food variety”

“The Purdue Mellos ordered Breakfast for their recent pregame tailgate. 24 orders. Ordering in advance was super easy and the staff and management was super accommodating of vegetarian and allergy orders. So many options to choose from. Pick up no problem either as our order was ready and not one item wrong or missing. It is often hard to find a place to order so early as we had a 9 am start time. We highly recommend The Country Cafe... West Lafayette. We will be back again~”

“Centrally located dining hall. Specializes in different meats, so a good place if you like brisket, steak, burgers, etc. They also have very good pasta dishes. Only downside is that they are not as vegetarian and vegan friendly as some of the other dining courts on campus.”

“I’ve been going to Fuel for years, first when it started downtown, then moved to Five Points and then expanded to this location. They’ve always offered an amazing selection of coffee, snacks and food that are always worth it! Banana pancakes and french toast are the bomb! I’ve probably had everything on the menu at least once and it never disappoints! Colleen has also done a wonderful job at making Fuel a community stop for Lafayette friends and family. As long as I’m in Lafayette, I’ll always be going to Fuel for a reset on the busyness & chaos of life! ?”

“While in town attending a class on campus for the FDA, we didn't have transportation to take us off campus to eat so we ventured into this little on-campus food hall. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had poke options and ordered my go-to poke choices. OMG. So, so good. Everything was fresh, well portioned, outstanding.”

“It's one of the more mid-dining courts on campus. Big plus side to this dining court is that it offers Sunday brunch (it is one of the only dining locations open on Sunday mornings)”

“Excellent pizza and excellent service! Upon ordering, I found they knew what I wanted better than I did. They were very helpful and patient, making apt suggestions. This team was obviously very busy but they busted their butts and executed on our very large, last-minute order very efficiently and courteously. Vegan options are amazing and once they realized it was my granddaughter’s birthday, they brought her out a complimentary cookie! Great group! Great experience!
