“The sushi is absolutely delicious at Takumi Sushi Hibachi. This little locally operated Japanese diner is located in a newer strip mall in Whitestown. (Takumi means artisan in Japanese.) You order at the counter then find a seat. The menu has an extensive selection of rolls. They also offer hibachi meals and bento boxes. They carry mostly Pepsi beverages with a few miscellaneous drinks such as Red Bull and sparkling water. There is no alcohol. For lunch, they feature sushi roll with miso soup combination. The freshly made rolls come out fairly quickly. The miso soup comes out hot and delicious. The sushi is presented beautifully, served with wasabi and pickled ginger. The Fire Cracker roll is spicy hot and delicious, my favorite of the Classic rolls. The cream cheese soothes the heat from the jalapeños perfectly. The breading is delicious on the roll. The Spicy Shrimp roll is also delicious with a perfect amount of spicy heat. The Shrimp Asparagus roll is a wonderful combination of fresh and tasty....a favorite. They have seven tables to dine-in but most people order delivery.“

“One of the best Japanese restaurants in Indianapolis in terms of quality and price. They have a wide menu that includes sushi, ramen, udon, bento, donburi, etc.The interior decor is fun, and there is plenty of seating. We were able to be seated as a table of 2 without waiting around 7pm on a Friday night. The atmosphere is lively, but it still makes for a great date night.We each ordered an entree and shared a roll of sushi and two appetizers --more than enough! I highly recommend the takoyaki and squid appetizers. They are really filling and delicious. ⚠️ Be careful not to burn yourself biting into the takoyaki!I also got the tempura udon. The broth is so savory and well seasoned. The tempura also showed up hot and crisp.I can't wait to eat here again!“

“The sushi is outstanding. I eat sushi once a week and Chiba is now my new goto place for serval reasons. The bar area is in a separate building with a quaint seating area and a great vibe. The owner Keith is very involved with running the business and doing whatever is necessary from making drinks, taking orders and running plates. Keith is very personable and makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated. I highly recommend Chiba and don't miss the spicy tuna and spicy Salmon. Keith makes a mean Sazerac too. I will definitely be back!“

“Just had the most amazing meal at Kyoto Sushi & Hibachi Express....we tried a little of a lot of things like their crab rangoon, jalapeno bomb, playboy roll, fried red snapper, chicken fried rice and Taro boba. Everything was excellent. We had great service and the food was high quality. We will definitely be back soon.“

“One of the best! Bring cash. Ordered takeout - red snapper and yellowtail nigiri… great! Also got cherry blossom, tiger eye, and rainbow rolls. All very VERY good. Cherry blossom and rainbow rolls were pretty small, but the flavor was definitely there! Cherry blossom roll was my favorite. Asked for “a lot of wasabi,” but had to go back for more as I only got one additional small scoop. They charge extra fee to pay with card, undisclosed until I was actively paying.“

“i went here for a school trip just recently! the food was incredible, and so was the presentation of the dishes. The staff was incredible, they were very nice and the service was speedy! the restaurant itself was super cozy and the seating was very comfortable. I have sensory issues and had no problem with the restaurant’s atmosphere, the temperature was comfortable as well. It’s aesthetically pleasing as well! not to mention the bathroom is nice, unlike other public restrooms. overall a 10/10, i would definitely recommend to check out this restaurant!“

“Finally. They have opened back up. Talk to the owner for a little bit and apparently due to power gird issues in the back of the build (the Amazon warehouse) they have to close down for a few days to renovate and since the whole building runs on one power grid they also lost power. And the reason for the health department sign was that because since the entire building lose power for a week, the health department have to come out and check if the food that’s in the freezer are still good. Now that the health department paid a visit yesterday they are finally opening up today“

“We had hibachi for a team work lunch at 11:30am. Service was quick, and the food was solid. Interior decor was classy, but the hibachi chef seemed a bit green.I say that because I've been to my fair share of hibachi places, and there were a few hiccups this time: the onion volcano was messy with oil leakage, so the fire didn't shoot up so much as spread around the onion; and his aim was bad so most everyone ended up with fried rice hitting them in the face ?Also, FYI, if you choose soup for your entree, it's a clear soup or like a broth --not miso.“

“Hands-down, my favorite sushi spot! You cannot drink for quality all you can eat sushi! Not only does the all you menu come with sushi options, but it also comes with your appetizers and sides as well as dessert. The dessert options are vanilla ice cream or green tea ice cream. They use iPads for you to select what you want, and it automatically sends it back to the kitchen. They prepare the food very quickly and again you can order as much as you want, the only stipulation is, if there is more than seven pieces of sushi left and they charge you a dollar per piece so that people don't over order and waste.“

“We have visited this restaurant on a few occasions for regular table dinners and have never been disappointed. The sushi and sashimi are top-notch, very fresh, and perfectly balanced in their flavors. My husband has tried the Hibachi dinner a few times and it was enjoyable, even without the show. Although we haven't yet tried the hibachi dinner service, we plan to do so for a special occasion. We appreciate that the restaurant transparently states the higher gratuity for the hibachi service, as we believe it's fair. During our last visit, I tried their much-talked-about volcano roll, which was visually stunning, but in terms of taste, they have other rolls that have a much bigger flavor profile. We love the dark, almost romantic ambiance of the place and enjoy looking at the Japanese dolls all around the room.“

“We don’t live in Brownsburg, but ordered from here through DoorDash once because we had a gift card. Now, we drive to Brownsburg to pick this up as much as we can. Great prices for a ton of food! The hibachi is what we go for, but the crab Rangoon is amazing as well. The pricing is very reasonable, too. Highly recommend!“
