“Ive been in the dodge city/ garden city area on a travel assignment with work for the last 6 months. A few weeks into my time here I was at another well known restaurant in Dodge city and was speaking to a guest from Colorado who flies in every month for a week for the last 6 or more years. I told him I was looking for the best cooked steak no matter the price range. He told me that it would be at the prime on the nine restaurant. I then was in Garden city for the past 6 months and I have eaten at every restaurant that serves steak. I am 3 weeks from leaving southwest Kansas and finally decided to take my wife on a date and try out the Prime on the 9 restaurant for Dinner. Hands down the 20 oz rib-eye is the best cooked ribeye in this area. The atmosphere was great for a date and the rest of the food we ordered was excellent. Im not comparing the restaurant to a Ruth chris, St . Emilion, Silver Fox, Del Frisco, or others in that echelon, but to all other restaurants here in this area of the kansas beef feed lot country. Although by steak alone, it is a contender in its own right. Thanks to Kevin, the manager, for a great experience! Very professional and kind! Thank you“
“A must stop for distillery lovers. On a road trip from Wisconsin to Tucson we opted for a day in Dodge. The town is awesome but that’s another story. We love distilleries and headed here for drinks after our day. We had the best time. The bartender (I’m embarrassed I didn’t get her name) explained all about their spirits, which are many. I had a house old fashioned and then built one. My wife had a hot bourbon and a rosemary mule. If we didn’t have to head to our campground we’d have had several more. We bought a bottle of Old Fashioned to go. Will def go back if ever in the area“
