“This is probably the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. So far, I’ve been here twice. Once was back during the grand opening, when they hadn’t had things quite figured out. Back then, it felt kinda like a fast food restaurant. They didn’t have any real dishes, just styrofoam to-go boxes. There were a lot of problems, but I had felt they had a lot of potential. Turns out, I was right. Coming back a long time later, it’s more of a sit down restaurant, with waiters and everything. Which honestly, takes some getting used to, considering this place used to be a KFC that I ate at frequently. It still gives off the impression that it’s a fast food place from the moment you open the door, with the menus on the big screens, the drive thru, people with headsets, etc., but it’s definitely a sit-down restaurant. The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond with their service. My waitress had noticed something wrong with my chip basket (something I had not noticed myself) and immediately replaced it. I ordered the special, as usual, and this time it was Pollo Bandido. The food came way faster than I had anticipated, and came with three very hot tortillas. It tasted amazing. It had chicken covered in a sweet and creamy cheese sauce, and combined with the fried rice and refried beans made for a very filling meal. But the best part was the dessert: Churros. I have never had churros until now, and as a lover of sweets, I could not believe how delicious these were. I was so quick to dig in that I forgot to take a picture until it was too late! It comes with four churros, which I believe are filled with some kind of vanilla cream, along with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. In the middle is a cup of vanilla ice cream, covered in even more whipped cream. If you asked me, I’d say this dessert was underpriced (it was $3-3.50 if I remember right). All in all I paid around $19 for this meal. $11 for the main course and around $6 for the drink and dessert. It was well worth it, and I can’t wait to come again. For those of you who have been to the Tropical Mexican Restaurant in WaKeeney, it looks like they have some very solid competition. I used to eat there a lot, but La Curva might be my new favorite. If you’re passing by on your travels, please give this place a chance. My only complaint is the parking lot. It’s an extremely tight fit and it’s hard to get out. This is not to their fault. There isn’t really any room to expand the parking. Though it does make me really nervous trying to leave. All that aside, I love this place.“

“So this is one of the most fun places in Hays to drink, watch a game and hangout with friends. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are great, plus they have great alcohol specials. The food is pretty stereotypical bar food and the menu is limited, but fine for what it is.“
