Disgusting. Shrimp was deep fried and they were like rubber, the lobster bisque was anything but. Asked for a well done chopped steak and got blackened top and raw inside. The stroganoff tasted as if the beef was boiled with the pasta. Very disappointing and the 1000 prairies dressing was gross too.

Call in order for lunch, ready when they said it would be. Ordered 3 cheeseburgers and fries. With everything. Burger was very good. Now the bacon was crumbled bacon, lettuce,cherry tomatoes, onions, and pickles all looked like they came from a salad bar. Little unconventional, but it worked ok. Bacon needs to be sliced bacon, not crumbles. Tomatoes need to be sliced, not cherry tomatoes, but they end up making a little salad with the leftover burger toppings.

We spent $116. For that amount of money I expect my steak to be cooked the way I asked for it. None of our steaks were how we asked. My mother-in-law and I both ordered a loaded baked potato and we received mashed potatoes. It was okay the rest of the food but not what I wanted. We were celebrating that I had a new job! The floors were filthy and had not been vacuumed. Tables were still dirty and needing wipe down we saw six staff just standing around so I feel like they were adequately staffed, somebody could have been cleaning tables.

Steak wasn't to bad, lobster bisque had been boiled and broke and curdled. Service was good. Table was sticky. Gave the 3 star on food because, if you are going yourself a steak place have real horseradish.

Ate there when we stayed overnight in Hays on our way to Denver. Clean, comfortable and the staff was outstanding. We didn't order much yet Dillon treated us like we were royalty. Great place and cudo's to whoever hired Dillon.A year later and again, traveling to and from St. Louis to our sons in Denver twice a year, more times than not we find ourselves in Hays for the night. We’ve had dinner at a number of places, some good, some not so. Last couple of times we ate at Hickoks. When in Hays we’ll never eat anywhere else again. Great food and service much better than we would have ever expected. Most recently the evening of December 21st. Again, great food and menu options plus affordable prices. Our waitress Tara was professional, super attentive and extremely friendly. Kudos to whoever hired her.
Cold rainy evening, could turned on the heaters. Food was bland. Ribs were dry. Thought it was going to be great because of the reviews. I would not eat there again.
