Best food Ive had in Hays so far. If you are traveling down I-70 and looking for a quality lunch stop, I completely recommend TRIO. I had a sour beer (cannot remember the name, but carefully selected.) with my reuben and waffle fries. Reubens was both delicious and correct. (few sandwiches have to be correct like the majestic reuben.) ALSO, reasonably priced!

Nothing short of exceptional from Hays. Seth was our waiter, and he was beyond phenomenal. Food was HOT, fresh, and delicious.I had one of the mac and cheese dishes, fried mishrooms, and my husband had the Reuben.A must try if you are in the area, just save us a seat!

We were traveling through Hays and found this great place for dinner and drinks! Amazing service and well done beer/drinks.We started with the onion blossom which was lightly battered (little heavey on the pepper) and good ranch. Then ordered the Trio N.Y.O. Buffalo Mac & Cheese that had nice chunks of chicken and a delicious creamy cheese sauce. We also ordered the German-style Green Bean Dumpling soup. [Side note: I grew up with German food and a first-generation German/Italian step-mom. We also cook with a larhe variety of spices including fresh ground roasted peppercorns.] This was nice and creamy with small chunks of potatoes, green beans, bacon, & wonderfully done dumplings... However, the pepper was so overwhelming (I was thankful we only ordered a cup of soup with a side of bread) it was not as enjoyable as it could have been. Overall, a great experience with good food but the need to consider their flavor to spice ratio.

This was a nice stop for dinner while traveling across the country. The service is fast and very friendly. My Old Fashion was excellent. Dinner was good. My only complaint is that the pricing is a bit high, but it's like that everywhere now.

My Caesar salad was not dressed properly. If you order mash potatoes it only comes with white gravy which is not proper when eating beef. There are only 3 different cuts of steak offered in only one size per type of steak so maybe that's why this place is called trios. No baked potatoes are served but a half of a twice baked is. The food was prepared very well by a very young cook which was nice to see. Overall it was OK but overpriced.
We were passing through and needed a good meal. The menu and reviews sounded like this was our type of place.We started with the calamari. It was tasteless (except for the fishy flavor) and very tough and chewy.My caesar salad came with a piece of garlic toast that was clearly from a box. The lettuce wasn't super fresh, probably from a bag. The dressing was okay but overly creamy. The chicken was the best part.My wife had a brisket sandwich, which was alright but nothing outstanding.The room was comfortable, and the waitstaff was friendly.It looked like a desitnation/date night spot. I am not certain why. Very mediocre experience.
