“Food was really good. Server wasnt around often so it took longer to get refills or our check when we wanted to go. I had to ask for my soup and salad for my meal.Didnt do the hibachi side as it was super packed that day. The rest of the restaurant was nice but you hear random loud noises that startle you from time to time from the show at the grill we couldnt see. We will try it again and see if a different day makes a difference. Overall it was a nice place to eat. It is pricey, same price without the show.“
“This place is fantastic!!! I’ve ordered here many many times and they never disappoint. Delicious food, generous portions, great prices with fast courteous service. I personally gravitate to their vegetable fried rice but I also enjoy many of their other menu items. They have some really great side order/appetizers too such as spring rolls, fries, etc. You cannot go wrong here, I highly recommend!!!“
“After dozens of orders, Sushi Uni has firmly established itself as our go-to sushi spot in Lenexa. Our usual picks include the Ahi Tuna Roll, Snow White Roll, KC Chiefs Roll, Tiger Roll, Heat Wave Roll, and occasionally the Hulk Roll, with the Tiger Roll standing out as our absolute favorite. The sushi rolls are consistently delicious and are the main reason we keep coming back. However, there's one aspect that prevents us from giving Sushi Uni a perfect score: the side dishes (I give the sides a single star, and I was honestly thinking of giving the resteraunt as a whole 3 starts instead of 4 because of the sides). Initially, on our first ten times ordering from sushi uni, we would add Edamame, Gyoza, or egg/spring rolls to complement our sushi, but we've been consistently disappointed by all of these sides. As a result, we've stopped ordering them altogether, it's a waste of money. It will take them overhauling how they prepare all of the side dishes before we consider ever ordering them again. Despite this, I highly recommend Sushi Uni for their exquisite sushi rolls. They're definitely worth a visit on their own. Just skip the sides to ensure your not leaving disappointed.“
“First time to Kata Nori Hand Roll Bar. It was spectacular. It was perfect. The food is exceptional. It’s some of the best sushi I’ve had. It’s also got a completely different spin than I am use to. The wasabi was like nothing I have tasted. The quality of the fish was prime. Even the Sake was the best I’ve ever had. The service couldn’t be better and the decor is quite lovely. I love the wood “ceiling “. Whatever you do don’t miss those mushrooms. You can eat very well here and not like sushi. I love sushi but you can bring the friend who doesn’t“
“We were in town for the NCAA wrestling tournament. We had a reservation and were seated within a half hour (which was amazing considering the sheer volume of people in this town). Our server was knowledgeable and recommended a ton of great dishes. We really enjoyed the itchy sea bass, spicy charred edemame, and the thriller roll. The sea bass and roll were so good, we actually ordered a second! Also try the China Doll cocktail!! Yum ?“
“Quite out of nowhere I got a bit of a craving for ramen. I checked online and this was the closest place and, not having been here before, I thought I'd risk it. Turned out to be a good call. The Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen was so good and filling, it was exactly what I was looking for (they also have non-spicy if you prefer). Fast service and a reasonable price were nice too, but mostly I'm just really pleased with the quality and taste of the meal.“
“Delicious meal- served up fresh and piping hot. Friendly service! My only complaint is- I paid the dinner price- and got lunch portions. I would’ve definitely ordered from the lunch menu, had I known there was one (a worthy mention from the host would have been stellar). That way, I would’ve received a dish of soup that was not offered on the dinner combination.“
“Kome sushi has always ultra fresh and very tasty sushi. My partner and I get take-out from them every Friday night and always comment on the freshness. The owner is hard-working, nice, and cares about getting things right. Our orders are always exactly what we ordered, including special requests. This is the best sushi in The Northland if not all of KC.“
“Went in with a friend and was seated in a small table, im a big guy and asked if I could be moved to a bigger table and they accomidated my request. The food was very good, the drinks were amazing the fried ice cream was 8 out of 10 but overall an 9 out of 10 visit.“
“Definitely a hidden gem. My wife and I go to the sushi bar regularly and it never disappoints. The service is great, the people behind the bar in the waiters and waitresses are very friendly. It looks like a smaller storefront, but there is a nice big area for seating, as well as the sushi bar and regular bar. Great atmosphere, and we highly recommend, I believe the oldest sushi restaurant in the city“
“We don't usually come around KC Downtown/Westport areas, but we had a chance to try some new food around here today. From outside, it doesn't look very fancy. From inside, it looks like a very standard sushi place. We walked in around 1:50pm, which they only had two other recommends occupied by then. Their kitchen was lightening FAST and the quality of the food is superior! Highly recommend the Cha Shu Noodle Soup, Eel Rolls, and Yang Sho Fried Rice!!!!! Wow, we will definitely be back soon when around this area again.“
“First time here and was surprised on the flavor. I had the chefs special that came with a rainbow roll, shrimp killer roll and chimichang. Chimichang was not for me but had good was not horrible. The Daikin roll was good and tasted fresh. Yellow tail hand roll is a must get. Red dragon flavor was a hit as well. My wife had the chicken katsu and the breading was light and delicious. The pork gyoza is a must get for a starter . So when we are back up I. The KC area this is a must come back to.“
“Ordered the combination lo mein, combination fried rice, orange chicken, crab rangoons, and a California roll add cream cheese. The lo mein and crab rangoons lacked flavor, and the combination fried rice was a tad bit salty. But the orange chicken was decent & the sushi roll was huge! It's worth a try.. but I'm not sure if I'd return due to the portions&flavors/prices.“
“Hands down my favorite place to get sushi in KC! I've visited twice and both experiences were amazing. The owner is very attentive and truly made us feel welcomed. The first time we ate here, he was about to close but he lets us Dine in and even engaged in a conversation with us with Hot Sake on the house. A year later we went back and he let us try his special jalapeno sauce that he makes for his family. Not only did we have good food but we felt taken care of both times. I will defiantly return every time I get the chance to visit beautiful Kansas.“
“The sushi was very fresh tasted amazing I ordered a total of 3 rolls. The mango cha cha roll, the royals dragon roll and the baked salmon roll! It was amazing!! I also ordered the crab Rangoon and the chicken gyoza.i initially ordered the miso soup it was not for me but everything else was exceptional. I was seated with chopsticks but no utensils for my daughters as well as no straw. I also did have to search for a different server because mine was so busy. But other than the service the food was definitely up to par.“
“I thought it was a different Sake's that relocated until I did not see the blue crab roll on the menu. I decided to stay. Everything was prepared right and tasted really good. I dined solo and was able to watch the chef craft sushi rolls. The creek tea was hot and invigorating. The calamari was well seasoned and crisp. You should try it!!!“
“It's alright. Not great sushi but definitely not bad. A bit pricy for what it is, probably due to its central Brookside location. Sister restaurant to Jarocho which is a delicious Mexican style seafood restaurant. Wife is Japanese, husband is Mexican. The chirashi bowl was nice, lunch-only though.“
“Hey foodies, listen up! If you're in the Midwest and craving some sushi magic, look no further than Sushi Karma. This hidden gem not only serves up delicious dishes but also delivers top-notch service that'll leave you smiling.Get ready for a feast because their portions are incredibly generous, making you feel like you've been transported straight to a coastal paradise. The flavors are so fresh, you'll swear you're dining seaside. Now, let's talk prices. For around $60, you and a friend can indulge in a sushi extravaganza. Trust me, when it comes to sushi, that's a steal! This isn't your average buffet fare; every bite is a culinary delight that'll have you coming back for more.“
“Very good. I love this place, The food was so good, Flavors exploded in my mouth! The service was so good, I was immediately sat and the Batman guy seemed so cool and he was so funny! Next, the ambiance was AMAZING! They were playing K-Pop, Michelle E. You are very wrong. I've been here for 5 years, Perfect, Amazing, Will come back, Batman guy, You are Amazing! My order was 2 Bagel Rolls, Crabrangoon, and a Dr. Pepper, Devoured! 5 stars to sushi mido,“
“This is my go-to place for sushi. There's also the fancy tables where they cook your meal in front of you and toss the shrimp into your mouth, and they're pretty good at it.The food is excellent. Crab salad for me, edamame for my wife, and we usually get 2 sushi rolls each. I don't even know if they have dessert here because I'm always full after the 2 sushi rolls. This is a Coca Cola place, not a Pepsi place. There is plenty of parking, but no dedicated motorcycle parking spaces. The restroom was clean. The tables were clean, and the floor was neither sticky nor slick. The staff is always quick, courteous, and friendly. They have a full bar if you need a cocktail. I didn't really take an inventory, but I did see a couple of bourbons there.I don't know for sure, but I think handicap accessibility may be a challenge. This is a good place for date night if you're on a budget. My bill for the food mentioned above with a couple of soft drinks on a Sunday at dinner time was just under 60 bucks. I ended up at a little over 70 after adding a tip. Also, for a Sunday evening at dinner time, there was no wait to get seated. Not sure how busy it is on a Friday or Saturday evening.“
“Lovely gentleman named Nathan took me to this place as a first meeting. This man is my bsf's boyfriend so this was a big deal. Overall food was great and the experience was a vibe. Had good conversation and so far has my blessing. 10/10 would try again.“
“I had the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was delicious! I was part of the clean bowl club! So many amazing options to choose from, I look forward to future visits! Love the Strang Hall concept, there is something for everyone, from standard fare to the adventurous.“
“It's a very peaceful and chill sushi house. The seating is unique as well as the atmosphere, and the service personnel are always patient and accommodating. The food is always delicious, I usually go for the Sunday morning specialty sushi, but I recently ordered the bulgogi, and it was so yummy!10/10??“
“The first few times I visited here, staff seemed to be a little reserved, but I I've seen many people dine dash here, sorry I realize it's not personal. My wife and I have become regulars and the staff are always incredible to us. Their food is absolutely amazing for and all you can eat buffet. Sushi is great, most of the dishes and appetizers. Definitely recommend this place.“
“Great customer service every time, great atmosphere as well, the miso soup is amazing, as is all the sushi options. The only issue I have, and it's a small one I'd give them 4.75 out of 5 if I could, is that the fried rice is average at best a little below on “
“Went here because of the hype thinking it would die down with the crowd, but nope still packed for a regular weekday. We definitely signed up on the wait-list on the app. Waited like 1.5-2 hours to get our table. We order pretty much a lot. If you order more than 15 plates you definitely get a prize. Sushi is mediocre for this type of establishment. Love the conveyor belt, you can picked your favorite sushi. I like to go for the raw sushi. There's some hit and miss with some due to their freshness. It's a cool place for a date. But plan ahead because there's a wait. Nice to see KC is on the map here.“
“Little hole in the wall. But 4 of us with meals appetizers and drinks for 125. We all had doggie bags. Everyone got shrimp even if we didn't order it. Everyone got noodles, rice veggies and the protein. Salad, soup.. never have I ever gotten my monies worth like I did at this place. Then we had a birthday and got Free cheese cake!!! First time there, and it won't be our last!!! Thank you. Our chef was fun too, tossing the shrimp in the air!“
“Overall a really great experience.I spent ~$300 for 11 people to have hibachi dinner with drinks (wine and soda)The food was delicious and the portions were nice. It was brisk but not busy and so was disappointed the service was not on point.Vegetarian options: Solid vegetarian optionsParking: Easy and accessible parkingKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with a complete kids menu“
“We love the diversity in foods ! I love sushi and my better half loves the burgers and fries. When we can’t decide and need something that satisfies both appetites we go to our fav!!! Jamie always greets us with a smile and makes us feel welcomed. The food is spectacular! I highly recommend trying Kona Grill, you won’t be disappointed! The service is top tier, from beginning to end. And Phil is always checks in to make sure our dining experience is just as good as the last time !! 10 starssss?“
“I didn't take any more pictures of everything we got. If you are from the Dotte show, the love. We had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, so fresh, absolutely delicious. I had the Naree fried rice with chicken huge serving. They are a hidden gem for sure . I for sure will go again with family. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken it was perfect, not overly breaded like some other places. You absolutely can see the care and love they put into everything.“
