On a Monday mid-morning, I stopped in for a hot breve latte and a breakfast sandwich. The vibe was relaxing since it wasn't packed, but had the typical coffee shop hum. The coffee was perfectly made and full of rich flavor. (Finally, a place that serves well-roasted espresso, not bitter, burnt beans!) For the locals, they do use Hildebrand diary products, so the flavor/quality of their dairy made drinks is excellent. After gazing at the mouth-watering pastries in the display case, I ordered a breakfast sandwich (see pic). I feel good about saying it was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had (and I've had quite a few over the years)! The egg was light and fluffy, the bacon crisp...all the flavors came together, and the croissant-like bun was delectable. This was my first visit to 1900 on Mass. I'll definitely return, and I highly recommend that you also make this one of your new favorite spots.

I love that they have a downtown location now. This is by far the best bakery in the city of Lawrence. I had a butterscotch latte, sausage biscuit and my favorite chocolate croissant. The sausage biscuit had honey butter on it and was phenomenal. The butterscotch latte was perfect as well. I've loved the chocolate croissant from the first time I had it. I definitely recommend trying this place out!

One of my favorite cafes in town. I have not ordered a dish from here that I did not enjoy. Their pasties are a must. I gave it four star because of their wifi policy. Was pretty surprised to find out they turn off their wifi at 1030am.

Great place to grab some coffee or a quick bite. Servers are super friendly. Love the atmosphere. They have the ABSOLUTE BEST, knock your socks off, chocolate chip cookies. Crispy on the edges. I love love love this place! The drinks and food are outstanding, the staff is efficient and kind, and it’s always a cute place to hang out! My only complaint and the reason I can’t hand out five stars for atmosphere is the new signs on the comically small high top tables…”this table is reserved for two or more persons.” If you’re not going to have hosts who keep track of seating in no way should you be trying to police where your patrons can sit…this is a cafe in a college town. People are gonna come sit by themselves and you’re putting your staff in the awkward position of enforcing this rule which is pretty antithetical to this coffee shop functioning as a coffee shop.

Absolute gem in Lawrence! The croissants were light, flaky, and perfect (and I'm pretty persnickety when it comes to croissants)... We tried the ham/cheese and plain. I also had a GREAT cocktail! I wouldn't do it justice if I tried to describe it, but don't skip their cocktails when you come visit the bakery. ;)
I ordered online. Unfortunately, their square site made two attempts to force a tip on the meal. I cleared it out once, entered card information, it loaded again, so I manually typed in 0.0. When it processed my card, it added a tip again. Mandatory tipping is just not a good environment for anyone. I'm not having any interaction with any service staff for a reason, I shouldn't be forced to subsidize their wages when I'm actively avoiding any interaction already.

Super cute spot on Mass Street! We went on a Saturday around 9:30-10:00 AM and it was busy! They were already sold out of some of the pastries which is a good sign even though they were sold out of the ones I wanted. For breakfast we ordered the breakfast sammy and the breakfast burrito. The sammy was a bit messy but for good reason. The flakiness of the pastry the sandwich is served on is so good! The breakfast burrito was also really good and we both enjoyed our meals. We also ordered coffee to enjoy while enjoying our food. Overall we had a nice experience here and I totally recommend when you're in Lawrence.

One of the only places where they serve an espresso with club soda. This helps in digestion of the strong espresso. The acidity of the espresso is balanced by the club soda in your tummy. The croissants are crispy, flaky & airy. One of the best around here + Chef Jake does a marvelous job. He cares. It shows. ????????
