Coffee ice cubes! I just wanted to start with that. I only got coffee, so I can't speak to the food but, the coffee was great. I got the cold pressed iced coffee and, was surprised when I got down to the ice to find, they use coffee ice cubes. It's the little things, I love it.

I love this locally owned cafe, they make their own green chili and salsa…honest to god it’s so tasty. They have lots of options but I always go for the basic Farmer’s breakfast which reminds me of my time in Central America: black beans, rice, eggs, salsa, tortillas…staple for breakfast and or lunch. Their specialty coffee drink barraquito is insanely good. Great service, super friendly staff and owners.

The food isn't bad by any means. But everything else about this restaurant is better than the food.They used to have black bean hummus many, many years ago. I vote for bringing that back. I have tried the Arapes and several of their omelets. They cook like Karen. No seasoning. I have to pepper everything on my plate. Their coffee offerings are fun and rich. These days, I'm eating more like a vegetarian, and those dishes are relatively tasteless. Next time I go to Global Cafe, I will simply enjoy their rich coffee inventory.Service is as slow or fast as college-aged kids can handle on a busy day. Don't be stingy on your tips. They are still knowledgeable and friendly.Kid-friendliness: Didn't get a kids menu, but they have a kids menu. Our server was very helpful in that regard

We sat outside, which was really nice. They had a lot of vegetarian options, and the iced coffee was good. The prices were super reasonable, especially considering it is on Mass. The food was just okay but the price was very reasonable for Mass or anywhere.The breakfast potatoes looked seasoned but I couldn't taste it. The carnivore omelet had a lot of meat but it was honestly too much. Felt like I was just eating a large handful of diced meat and nothing else.I requested blueberries with my pancake (blueberries were not an option on the menu) and they made it exactly the way I wanted. By cooking fresh berries inside and some on top. I was happy with the pancake.I asked everyone in my party and they had similar comments about what they got. Some parts were good but overall lacking flavor.We were quick to get a seat Saturday morning which was great compared to places like the Roost or Milton's and the service was great. That said the food and menu options could be better. They are so close, just need to work on the menu options and flavor to stand out more.

This place has been on our to-do list for a long time. We were excited to finally have the opportunity to visit. Great atmosphere, fine service. We love New Mexican food and were excited for green chili not laden with pork which everyone BUT NM seems intent to do.My wife had a breakfast bowl and I had the breakfast burrito. The food was unfortunately a disappointment. Under seasoned and bowl of large underdone potato chunks. The green chili was very runny when it should be thick and chunky.This might be a fine breakfast location if you aren’t looking for new Mexican food. But if you are, keep looking.

We were verbally and physically threatened with a knife (pointed it right in our face) while sitting outside waiting for our orders. While I’m sure the food is decent it’s not worth getting harassed to this level as we did nothing to provoke such behavior. It is nice to provide food to those who need it, but go donate like everyone else. This is not the solution our community needs, providing these extra services during business hours is willfully and knowingly putting their customers lives at risk and they don’t seem to be bothered by it. I was scared at the time and in retrospect it’s upsetting Global Cafe didn’t seem to care or offer an apology for the hostile environment they created.
We’ve been twice and extremely pleased. I’ve had the Huevos Rancheros and another dish with scrambled eggs, chorizo and avocado. Both dishes were really good. It’s a great place, good wait staff and food.Also picked up some roasted Hatch chilies, can’t wait to use them in some dishes.
