We have had great meals there in the past. Recently we met friends there for "Happy Hour" for the first time. Their HH menu had great options at reduced prices - very reasonable. It is a very nice environment with a friendly atmosphere and the service was perfect. Highly recommended.

While the atmosphere was decent, everything else was subpar given what we paid.First of all, my spouse and I both asked for medium well steaks. One came out well-done and another was medium. Now, I am not sure if our waiter could not hear us clearly over the music, but I believe we made it pretty clear we both wanted medium well. Texas Roadhouse asks to cut into the steak when it comes out to ensure it is cooked properly. Also, my cut of Prime KC had a lot of fat. Not sure if it warranted the $38 price tag.Secondly, the menu includes 'complimentary bread service' with the steak, which never came. Our waiter had a colleague bring out the food and when we told the waiter about it, he said the colleague should have asked. Seems like Six Mile is relatively upscale, so our waiter should have noticed there was no bread and provided us with it.Thirdly, I asked for gravy for my mashed potatoes and it only came after I inquired about it, which was around 5-10 mins later. Again, the waiter said his colleague should have brought it out.I realize that we probably should have been more vigilant with these things, but for comparison, we have had zero issues with Texas Roadhouse and Six Mile, to me, clearly presents itself as a step above. It's the minute details that separate one level of restaurant with another. Six Mile fell short, in our opinion. The manager did take off $15, so I give them credit for that, but she did not come and apologize. If I am the manager, I would at least go to the table and apologize (again, for reference, Texas Roadhouse's manager goes to each table and asks how they are doing around halfway through the meal). For context, when I worked in the restaurant industry in college, the general manager at the time would give around 20% off and a gift card for the total amount if something was off. It is a bit extreme but sometimes, that is the cost of service.Dietary restrictions: It is clearly labelled on the menu of their gluten-free or dairy-free option, so that was a nice touch.Parking: Plenty of parking around the restaurant. It shares the lot with the surrounding places.

Awesome local spot we hit up on the road. The food was delish, the service great (thanks Alexa) and the cocktails yummy. We missed happy hour by a minute but it's all good. love to eat local!

All of our entrees were very good. The ribeye was cooked perfect. We didn't realize you needed a reservation for the dining side so we seated ourselves on the Bar side.

We have been going to chop house for a few years and over the last year or so we started getting in to the lunch salad with steak topping. It was terrific and not too expensive to get on a regular basis. Lately however the steak topping has been a terrible, tendon-laced cut which you literally had to cutaround to get a few good bites. Four visits over the last two months and no improvement in quality. I am no longer willing to spend my money on this meal with the hope that this was a “one-off”. If I could hear it is fixed I might come back. I was actually telling folks about how good this salad was….not now…?….let me know when you quit “cutting corners” and I will come back. You are literally a mile from home!

Nice fancier place in Lawrence for a steak place, not corn feed beef so it lacked the fat marbling and flavor that I liked. Some people like their steaks like this if your one who does you will enjoy the steak. They have other options then just steak, something for everyone. The service was good although it did take 30 or minutes after ordering to get our meal, I recommend an appetizer if your hungry.

Absolutely a great experience! Double bone pork chop was fantastic! Old fashioned (not on the menu) was spot on!Will definitely book a wine room for future events.

This was an absolutely amazing experience. Our server (I believe his name was Xander) was so kind and the atmosphere was relaxing, yet lively at the same time. It felt so welcoming. The food was the best I've ever had. I ordered the 8oz sirloin with the house salad and french fries. The steak was cooked to perfection and was presented with a lovely red wine demi glace. For dessert we ordered the chefs favorite cheesecake and the tiramisu. It was the perfect amount of sweetness for me and it tasted incredible. I could not stop eating and finished everything!Overall, Chop House is a wonderful place to go to for an amazing meal with family or by yourself.

Food was top notch, I love a cold salad and they delivered the freshest salad I've had in a while. The ambiance is nice, we were there late so there wasn't a lot of people but the food probably warrants heavier foot traffic. The service was prompt, the waiter should try a few more things in the menu and have some suggestions ready but he seemed new, but was very charming All in all a solid 9 out of 10
