Salsa and guacamole could have used more seasoning. Tacos were tasty, but very saucy and messy. The Agua Fresca was my favorite of everything.

We recently hired Taco Zone in Lawrence to cater our wedding in Topeka. Coco, the catering manager was such a dream to work with. She handled all of the details and helped guide us through the process and helped us make selections that made our special day so amazing.Day of they were amazing and helpful, even making sure the water and tea were refilled, something that was not in their contract. Coco had everything cleaned up and left overs packed up making our lives so much easier. I say all of this to get to the most important part of this review.OUR GUESTS COULD NOT STOP COMMENTING ON HOW DELICIOUS THE FOOD WAS. We had elote dip, and fruit skewers with tajin in addition to a chips and guacamole bar for cocktail hour. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Dinner was Chicken Verde Tacos, Conchitas Pibil (pork), and Veggies Verde tacos. We ordered an off menu Mexican rice side which was so delicious. The micro green and Kale salad was delicious too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 would recommend.Great communication and even better follow thru! Give Coco a call for your next event.

I'm the worst and never take the time to review my favorite restaurants, but my precious, sweet Taco Zone broke the bad habit! They deserve all the stars!My partner and I both have celiac disease and eat here nearly weekly. Everything is delicious every time, and we've never, NEVER had any inkling of getting glutened. The staff are always knowledgeable, kind, and speedy fast!

I had the chicken burrito, and it was awesome!!!!! Also, rolled tight enough I could eat it while driving!!!! PLUS, they have the "Cadillac" of margarita machines.

Food was decent but I was expecting better. From what I can tell the prices seem to have gone up within the past half year so it has become highly overpriced for what you get and for the quality of food. For three people, we spent around $37 for 2 rather plain burritos, three basic tacos with one simple filling each and two drinks, along with a small little tray of plain chips and guacamole that was an outrageous $6 (it was practically a dollar per chip). Good to try once, but I probably won’t be going back. I will, however, compliment the service as they were nice, helpful and the food did come out quickly.

They are tucked away in a small(ish) space just off Massachusetts Street. It seemed obvious to me that they wanted to make their tacos their own way; with little concern given to authenticity. The food was decent enough. The food came out rather quickly. You get 3 tacos in an order and can get 3 different tacos if wanted. However, I just got 3 of the Green Chili Chorizo and Potato tacos. If was good I guess. But, it's chorizo is easy. Also, I would have to say, it was probably the worst chorizo I've ever had. We also got the chips and queso to share. My favorite parts of the meal was the pickled veggies that came on the side and the margarita. I'm not sure I would go back.

We had Taco Zone cater for our family reunion (30 people). Everything was perfect! They arrived on time and quickly set up. There were plenty of tacos, toppings, chips and guacamole and everyone thought the food was great! Definitely recommend!

Really like the tacos! I just moved to Lawrence from Phoenix, so was a little skeptical about the tacos in Kansas but hey, the tacos were delicious!! I got chicken, beef and pork - the pickled veggies were a great touch! Highly recommend. Will be back to try the other ones!

I was disappointed by my visit to Taco Zone. We ordered tacos, chips and guacamole, and horchata for carryout. When we got home, we discovered that instead of the 2 veggie verde tacos we'd ordered, we were given 2 beef tacos. This isn't an okay substitute for us because we prefer not to eat beef. Also, one of the taco boxes contained a salsa cup without a lid, and the salsa spilled on a taco. (Not good because the salsa was too spicy for me.) We also ordered black bean tacos. There was nothing objectively wrong with these tacos, but they were spicy, which is not something I expected (or wanted). The chips, guacamole, and horchata were good. I would assume that perhaps carryout just isn't a good choice, but the restaurant is too small for staying in to eat comfortably.

This was my first time here and I was blown away. I got the chili rojo beef and sweet potato nachos. They were amazing on their own, but the hot sauce that came on the side was like a spicy cherry on top. And the margarita was one of the best I’ve ever had! Well done!

We hired Taco Zone for our daughter's wedding and I cannot say enough. I wasn't sure about this choice for a fairly formal wedding and reception but it is our daughter and son-in-law's favorite restaurant and man, they killed it!!! They floated through the cocktail hour with trays of appetizers and then had coordinated the perfect meal for our event. We have had so many positive comments about our food choice and we cannot highly recommend Taco Zone enough for your next event, reception or party!
