The Sandbar is one of those places that will always be iconic in Lawrence. Yes, every bar can be a lot of fun.. HOWEVER, Sandbar is an experience. It is a party every night.They have fantastic drinks, with fun toys, and lights.The music is loud! All kinds of tunes to get you moving and singing.Extremely colorful, with pictures all over the walls. Loved this place! Was in Kansas City for my birthday this year and saw this place in reviews. I figured it was close enough that we made the trek to it, and it didn't disappoint! First time in Lawrence, and as soon as we walked in the door of the Sandbar, you could feel the vibe of the room even though it wasn't busy. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I'm coming back to Lawrence in March for my birthday from Minnesota just for this bar!

I was visiting family for the holidays. I visited the Sandbar, to watch a Chiefs game. It was awesome they hosted a potluck and had random specials for shots. Everyone was inviting and chatty. Best of all super dog friendly. I mean like, dogs off leash with no one freaking out. I loved my visit.
