Per their website their only way to view the menu is through an online order. However apparently this particular Village Inn doesn’t accept online orders. Therefore no one can view their menu. Ridiculous. It isn’t very difficult to add a menu to a website or even simply upload a PDF.

The food was excellent and the place was clean. Our server wasn't really friendly but she did her job.

I know they have been around probably longer than I have been alive and cater mostly to the elder crowd but still.... The hours are 7-3pm. Literally you can't go unless you work nights or are retired. I went at 7:10am on a Saturday (maybe half full) to order some pies. I wanted to order food to go while I got my pies but nope. They do not allow to go orders on the weekends outside of pies. This is a bad business idea considering the Big Business was build just across the street, they are literally pushing people to them. Anyways, the Carmel pecan pie was a big hit.

The food and service were excellent. The restaurant could have used some extra cleaning and updating. I would still go back.

I ordered the pick three…a half Reuben and tomato soup. The soup was great and the Reuben was good. The strawberry rhubarb pie was very disappointing. It seemed like strawberry jam and stewed rhubarb mixed together. Very gooey with little substance. The crust was good. Service excellent.

We became regulars here about six years ago. Overall, this is the best place for breakfast in the Kansas City metro, and if you arrive on a Sunday, you will see that a lot of people agree--because the place is packed. The food is always good to great (not the best biscuits & gravy, but they're decent), and even when this place is busy, you don't have to wait long for service and your food. I am flabbergasted that there aren't more Village Inn restaurants in the metro.
