“Great little restaurant right next to the flagpole. Great fries. Thankfully, the 1/2 pounder hamburger wasn't the only choice. I think mine was 1/3 pound and still filled me up. Well worth the extra few miles from the highway. You get great food and a chance to see small town America. It does still exist.”

“It was a nice little whole in wall joint with good food. I had the mountain oysters that were really good. My sons chicken strips were good. I thought people were smoking at first but tmit was just poor exhaust in kitchen just was not working well. I subbed a salad for a side and it was an extra 3.49. Which I would not have minded if it was not just cheese and iceberg lettuce.”

“Call me crazy but I'm vegetarian and still managed to love this place lol their baked beans were so good! There are enough side dishes to make a nice vegetarian meal. I also got a grilled cheese off the kids menu. When you walk in, you can smell the smoke and it's divine! My husband got pulled pork with coleslaw and sweet potato fries. PRO TIP... get those fries and they give you marshmallow cream dip for the sweet potato fries. Just wow. Try it!! You won't be sorry!”

“We are from Broken Arrow and wanted to find a Breakfast Cafe. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into Remnant cafe!! It was so homey and the servers were so kind. We enjoyed the music that was playing and the food was WONDERFUL!! It's a true comfy, family, country, friendly place to have coffee lunch or breakfast.Kid-friendliness: A man with 2 small children came on the servers got eye level and told them all about the chocolate milk or strawberry milk the kids just smiled so big.”

“My hubbynhas been wanting to eat here for a while now. Decided to drop in on a Tuesday afternoon so he could get the Mountain Oysters. Got seated quickly and order was taken within minutes. They had a few customers but definitely we hit it at a good time.We order fried mushrooms for an appetizer. My husband got the Mountain Oysters with fries and was one of the specials for Tuesday. I ordered the Jalapeño Chicken Sandwich.Food came out fairly quickly and was hot and fresh. Got our drinks refilled frequently and enjoyed our meal.A little hole in the wall in Altamont Kansas and was worth our stopping in.Hubby loved his Oysters, he gave them a second best he's ever had. My Chicken Sandwich was excellent. Large portions, cooked well and very flavorful.”

“My family and I ate here on a whim while in the area and were really pleasantly surprised. I’ve never really eaten anywhere like this before. You order at the cash register, then find a seat. We sat at the bar next to some other patrons who were playing Magic The Gathering (I think). It was quiet at noon on a Friday. While we waited, there was an abundance of fun arcade games (Pac-Man, mortal combat, foosball, pool, claw games). Once the food came out, it was great. Kids meal popcorn chicken and grilled cheese was decent, onion rings were tasty, grilled chicken salad was flavorful, chili cheese dog got a thumbs-up from my 10 year old, but the gold medal goes to the southwest burger. So flavorful! This place was unexpected and quirky, but my 6 year-old declared she now wants to eat there “every day.””

“Food was fast, hot and tastyService was friendly and had a great attitude. If we lived in the area we would definitely be back. The only negative is that it was cold in the dining room and even colder in the bathroom. Makes your food get cold before you can eat it. I ordered hot chocolate and they were out. No coffee for me because they didn't have any creamer and I didn't want cold milk in my coffee.”

“I'm from Augusta but was working in Parsons for a few weeks. I found this Sonic, and I really wasn't expecting much as far as quality. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food here. I also stopped in a second time later in the week to see if maybe the first time was just a lucky fluke, lol. Fantastic both times! I'm extremely impressed and wished Sonics around the state would take a page from this store. Thanks again!”
