We met some friends there who had been there previously and recommended it. The food was pretty good, but because the walls are ceramic tile and the floor is concrete the place is very noisy. There were some children in there that were pretty loud and their voices echoed. So we didn't like that, but the food was good and we enjoyed that along with seeing friends that we hadn't seen in a while. My wife had three different tacos, one of which was the avocado and it was really good. I had the surf and turf burrito with rice and it was one of the better ones I've had in Kansas City. Not sure we'll be back just because the noise. The outside ordering window is unique and if it would've been a little warmer, we would've sat outside and it would've been just fine. I will say that the staff was VERY friendly and VERY helpful.

I've only had the surf n' turf burrito twice. It was good but the second time, I didn't get any shrimp. There are no hot salsas either. If you think it's hot, that's insane.

What can I say, I love Tiki Taco. I was first introduced to Tiki Taco last summer. My cousin and I had just wrapped up taking our girls to the zoo and thought we'd pop into their location on Troost for a better lunch than what we could find at the Zoo. I remember being pleasantly surprised by the fun flavors, the reasonable price, and the really vibrant colors of this fast casual spot. For most of the year door dash from their OG location has been my treat when I work late nights and need a quick and tasty dinner. Flash forward to 2024 and I'm so thrilled to have this new Tiki Taco location a stone's throw from my house. The taco gods have shone light upon me! Last time I worked a late night I ordered online and it was ready for me when I arrived. I love how they renovated this space to be just as bright and cheery as the location on Troost and the carry out was ready right on time. I can't recommend this little taco spot more - enjoy!

I made an impromptu decision to eat lunch here after shopping with my toddler. The staff was extremely friendly and kind not only to me, but to my daughter as well. The cashier gave me AMAZING taco recommendations- the birria taco and Thai chicken were so good! When my toddler got a random wild hair and swiped my tacos off the table and onto the floor before I was finished, the chef immediately noticed and went back to make me another taco at no cost- even though it was our fault. They were all so kind and understanding and amazing service like that beyond fantastic food should absolutely be recognized. Thank you all so much for such a wonderful and stress free lunch experience!

This is great tacos in a 1950's diner setting. I was impressed they use locally made tortillas. We tried the Cadillac margarita - a bit sour for us. We will be back to try another Mary and more tacos!
