“I’ve been going for years and have never written a review for this place, guess today is the second best day too. Let me tell you, this place - you will never be able to taste most, if any other, Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine places the same again. First of all, you’re getting the real deal, Happy (Who is a wonderful cook and woman.) knows what’s she’s cooking and how to do it right. When your food is done. ITS DONE. And you’ll get it straight from kitchen to table. What you’ll be getting is an authentic home-made dish. You’re basically having dinner at grandma’s if Happy was your Grandma. Then there’s Hank, the sweetest, friendliest, and most sociable person I’ve met. He helps cook and such for sure, but when he starts talking to you, you’ll be enjoying a conversation for a good minute or two and he’ll make sure you’re experience is as good as the food. Don’t let the place fool you on looks, you might think a place needs to look fancy or such to be good, but that is far from true. What you’re seeing is a local couple dedicated to their business and food, who are giving you the real deal compared to places like Panda Express or Lotus, which I can barely enjoy anymore, because of Hank and Happy. Like I’ve said, when I walk in there and the first thing I hear is “Hey Buddy! Long time, no see!” I’m ready to spend my time and money there, and catch up with them on life. I don’t think they ever really know my name, but I’m happy to just be known as “Buddy”. 10/10 would recommend, and I refuse to accept there’s any other better Chinese/Vietnamese alternatives in the SEK area.“

“We dined in today at the Pittsburg location and it was our first visit but it won’t be our last! It was amazing! But I mainly want to compliment the young girl that was taking the orders and serving. She was so sweet and kind, she literally made my day! “From my current years of going here, i can safely say its cheap, the people are nice, that cashier that was high that one day is gone and there are new people working.

The food is almost always great, there are times its worse than other times, and some times its much better and really good. I think it really just depends on the mood of the cooks, and the current cooks that day/shift, overall i give the food a great rating no matter what bc even on its bad days its still great.

The cashiers at the drive thru window are nice, sometimes i wonder if they really care to be there or not. The main girl cashier thats there the most is really nice and is good at her job, the newer people i feel could up their game a little bit, but that is to be expected from newer people of course.

The time it takes to get out food has been upwards of an hour with only 4 cars in the drive thru... which is insane, and especially when they arent busy inside as well, and it still takes nearly 45 minutes for just a few cars to get through. So if youre thinking you are going here for your lunch break, think again, theres no way that youre getting your food before your lunch is over or about to be over, especially if there are any cars at all in the drive thru.

Now those rumors i have heard about roaches in food and around the store, absolutely not true from my own experience of about 4 or 5 years of going there, maybe even longer, but i dont keep full track, but i havent seen any type of bug in my food at all, from years, not once, so all those rumors can go out the window

Overall for lotus in general, i really wish you could pick your speed up, its nerve racking when i think i have time to get food and have to be in work in an hour and a half and it takes 45 minutes to an hour to get my food so i have to rush home and eat, other than that, i think lotus is great and will absolutely continue eating there until they decide they want to close... which almost happened, and i was super sad because i love this place, but then they took down the sign and said they are going to continue for about another year which is amazing“
