Service is speedy and attentive. Fried chicken sandwich, breakfast burger, the wings, in every combination, and fried pickles are our favorites! Add the Mac n' cheese to every meal. Mmmmm! Kid friendly, easy parking...never disappointed.
We tried The Pitt for the first time and won't be the last. A group of 8 of us met there a little after 11 for lunch and it was getting busy already. Our waitress was great. She was knowledgable, attentive and very friendly. She always had a smile. The food was all really good. We had 3 different apps. Fried pickles, onion rings and chips and queso. All were delicious and a lot of them. The meals we chose were all over the menu and everyone thought they were very good. I had the chili cheese dawg. Deb had grilled chicken sliders. There was also an ultimate grilled cheese, a Hawaiian burger, a regular burger a slider basket and a salad. Most took food home and all enjoyed the meal. Now, the NCAA basketball tournament was just getting started so I can't say what it's like other times. But today, it was lively and loud. It was a fun atmosphere. My only regret is I didn't get our waitress's name. I'd love to brag on her so she would know how well she did.

As for the atmosphere, I'll say it's good. Seems like a very happening place if you want to go for the game and some beers. Unlucky for me I don't go for the game and the beers. The food is bland! And I mean BLAND!! Ingot the PITSBURGER! It was more like the SHITSBURGER because it sucked! World famous my ass! The service was good and fast! So nothing to complain about there. The PITT change the food!

Overall, good place to eat! Just disappointing that kitchen closes so early on a Saturday night (9 pm) especially when the NCAA Championships were going on in town until about 8:30 pm. When we went on Friday, it was so good we wanted to return on Saturday, but couldn't. Would definitely return, but not a good later option for meals.

I travel to Pittsburg from Springfield MO once a week and have been going to The Pitt every week to eat there cause the Food and the Customer Service. I will tell you though I will no longer visit this particular place of business anymore. The MOST DISRESPECTFUL thing a restaurant should be doing is CHARGING FOR WATER! I never noticed as I roughly calculate based on what is ordered and taxes so never looked at my receipt till this time. I bring a crew of my workers along as add a crew of my Partners as well when we come to eat. I go to many restaurants including High-End ones and I'm sure there is others that charge for water but this is the first one I have ever came across that actually does and to make it even sting more is that the water sits in an open container at the bar so it soon turn to room temps. Kind of a shitty way of a business owner to have his/or staff being the ones that have to be the ones dealing with that with their tables.

Wait staff was wonderful. Menu does not describe some of the food properly. The menu did not state that the queso was spicy. The menu did not state that the fried green beans were spicy. The batter around the beans had jalapeños and red chili peppers in it. They were hot! Menus should/need to list exactly what is on/in the food. Not everyone likes spicy and some people are allergic to certain foods. Please put this additional information on your menus.
