“Such an amazing breath taking experience couldn’t be happier. This was the all around best dining experience I’ve ever had from every angle. This will become a new regular for me just wow Adam and his wife Kasie are spectacular and their entire team I can’t believe this is in Topeka, Kansas. They are not getting enough recognition for what they have done and are continuing to do daily.”

“we went to North star last night and it was where we would go with my dad every year for his birthday dinner, he passed away two years ago and ever since then my family and I still go on his birthday and take a picture of him and sit on the table. The manager came around and asked about the picture, and I told her the story and then later our waitress brought out a dessert with a candle in honor of him, it was so very thoughtful and made it a very special moment, they went above and beyond to make it a special celebration.”

Reuben was good as well. I'm coming back for sure.”

The owners are so kind and make you feel right at home. This is a very kid friendly place as well! My 18 month old loved the food! I asked the person who made the shrimp sandwich to change gloves due to a seafood allergy and the potential of cross contamination. To my surprise, not only did he change them but all the employees changed their gloves to keep him safe. I never like to have special requests but I was so thankful for their kindness and compassion. We are regulars there, but we will have to start going a lot less and start ordering differently due to the new prices. It's still the best breakfast in town for flavor and service! And if you haven't tried their pumpkin pancakes, I highly recommend them!

Parking: Their parking lot doesn't hold too many, but there is an extra parking lot just next door and street parking if you're ok with walking.

Kid-friendliness: They have a kids' menu with color sheet included and crayons. You don't have to worry about your kids making noise, very family friendly.”

The owner and staff are there running things, so your return visits will always be greeted with familiar smiling faces. Good prices round out this amazing hidden topeka dining experience.”

The bartenders were great. I went to another bar before this one just because it was closer to my hotel and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much. “The customer service I received this sunday at Perkin’s was phenomenal. I went out to eat with my mother in law and my infant son. He is at the teething age therefore he is quite cranky. The entire beginning of us getting there and ordering was filled with him crying (which is not fun in a restaurant). Once our meals came, a sweet older lady who is a team lead there, came to our table and offered to hold my crying son so I can eat. She said that I needed it. Not once has this type of customer service been offered to me anywhere else. I will remember this moment for a long time.”

I placed an online order, and it was delayed. I called to find out what was up and no one is answering at the location. I’ve been trying for over 20 min but the phone just keeps ringing through. Tried another location and the phone number is out of service. Google says they’re open and the system let them take my online order. Tried to call corporate to see if there was an online issue or something, but it’s after 5pm , & VM is full. And now I’m out $45 until the charge goes through so I can dispute it with my card company.
I’ve NEVER had this issue here before. They’re always fast and food is always great. No idea what the heck is going on but I’m really disappointed.”

“It's been 20 some years since I've been able to have Schlotzskys as the local one where I'm from closed while I was living overseas. We actually went to the strip mall for the smoke shop, needing cigarettes and that being the closest one that popped up.

Imagine our excitement pulling into the parking lot and seeing this place on the corner. My co traveler thought I led us there on purpose, but I honestly didn't even think to look if a schlotzkys was in the area.

Anyhow, we went in and despite over 2 decades having passed, the menu was mostly familiar. Ordering a previous favorite for both of us, we sat down in anticipation for the food to be done.

It was OUTSTANDING! The sandwiches were thick enough to make taking a bite a challenge. The soup as warm and creamy and delicious as remembered. The chips just as crisp.

The staff friendly as ever during our ordering/checkout/pick up times.

However, an older lady came out after we were sitting there eating for a few and started berating a younger lady for opening a roll of change because she had to count it all when the younger ones shift was done.

Ok? That couldn't have been quietly addressed in the back away from customers? There was no reason except a power play to embarrass the poor girl like that. I told her next time, make it worth it and open up every single roll of change most new drawers start with. She half giggled and looked back over her shoulder as if afraid the older lady was standing. There ready to yell again.

Think about how your actions reflect on the staff, the store, and what customers end up thinking about the service lady.....before pulling such a ridiculously uncalled for stunt and purposely Making someone feel worse for the day. It's unappealing and unappetizing.
