Oh my goodness! The catfish is to die for. Loved the green beans, and the mashed potatoes too. BUT WHEN I OPENED THE GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE.... I thought I was in HEAVEN! So moist and fluffy and delicious! The women that work there are so hospitable and accommodating; it's really refreshing. And every so often I swing back into the back and say hi to the livestock.
What a surprise! I found this place on Yelp and was surprised driving up to see that it was a simple cafe at a stockyard. It was very country diner vibe inside but the service and the food were excellent!! My waitress worked her tail off the whole time I was there. She kept a pleasant demeanor and was so helpful. Walk to the counter, order from the white board on the wall, and you may be rewarded with something far tastier than you’ve had in a while. I was. It was a ham and cheese grilled sandwich. It was a thick slice of cheese and it was delicious. The fries were forgettable. Off to the side was a table full of southern favorite dessert options. Choices included butterscotch or peanut butter pie, apple fried pies and a few cake choices. So if you are tired of franchises, try this.
