I've had the food truck at a few events and it's phenomenal but going into the store left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended).I got the teriyaki shrimp and scallops and the shrimp was ok (maybe a little overcooked) but the scallops were way overcooked and almost mushy.. Just not a good experience.The service was friendly and helpful but the food just wasn't as good as I'd had from their truck in years past.
I want to love this place, but I just can't. The steak always tastes more like hamburger. The scallops are about the only protein I enjoy from them. The rice is always disappointing compared to their competitors.I'm not saying their food is bad, it's just not worth the price they put it at. Food is not priced too bad although it has gone up some. Service is quick. Overall taste and quality could be a lot better. Rice and meat seems dry and not fresh all the time. Sushi rolls taste oddly sweet.
