“I wanted to eat Korean spicy ramen that BTS Jimin eats, eventually I found it here. It was so delicious and all the staff were very kind. It's a Asian sushi restaurant, but if you want to taste Korean food such as Bulgogi, Japchae, spicy Soft Tofu stew and even hot pot bibimbap I highly recommend it.“
“Cafe Mochiko left us thoroughly impressed during our visit from out of town. We dined there twice over a weekend, once for dinner and once for morning pastries, and we were blown away both times. During dinner, we enjoyed a variety of appetizers, including the savory and fragrant Mochi Mochi Panic, Karaage, and Kabocha Raisu, all of which were hits. For the entree, we tried The Ohio from their rotating menu, which featured a rich pork and fish broth with tender sous vide pork and chewy noodles—an absolute delight. On our second visit, we stopped by for pastries on a Sunday. Despite about 15-minutes wait in line, the pastries were well worth it. We tried out a variety of their signature pastries, including the Ube Croissant and Genmaicha Melonpan, all of which were so well-made and delicious.Overall, Cafe Mochiko is an exceptional Asian-inspired bakery and Japanese restaurant. While they don't take reservations and may involve a wait, it's well worth the visit. We are so thrilled to have visited this gem in Cincinnati!“
“My boyfriend and I came in tonight closer to closing. He ordered the steak, shrimp, and chicken hibachi with fried dumplings and I had the teriyaki chicken bento box with spicy crab sushi, and crab Rangoon. The food was SO good. But, I think the shining point of dinner was their young daughter coming up to play with us then later asking if we needed anything. You can tell this is a mom and pop type restaurant and I absolutely love it. I hope to come back in soon!“
“We actually found this by looking for high rate Asian close to OTR. How did we not know about this place. Opened about a year ago from the neighbors next door (Lalo), this place is a hidden gem.We ordered the skewers (one each) of the chicken, the chino tacos, the tornado potatoes and the banh mi with cucumber salad. Very plate was delicious. Something we really appreciated were the sauces. My family has been to Vietnam multiple times and that’s something we loved when we were there. This place was a nice fusion with an emphasis on Vietnamese food.Delicious and we will be back for the Pho!“
“This is the best ramen house in the tri-state area. I have eaten at most of the Japanese restaurants that offer authentic Japanese-style ramen and this place has the best. I have traveled throughout Japan and Osaka Ramen House had the closest version to what I had in that country. The appetizers and other meals are so tasty and what you would find in Japan.“
“Oishii! Delicious! Came in for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this delightful gem. The onigiri and karaage lunch combo was perfect, light and healthy with a side salad. We also tried two cakes, a strawberry creme and matcha roll. Again, light and subtle flavors always leave you with room for one more bite.“
“Absolutely delicious sushi. Got Carry out, but the restaurant seating itself seems pretty close together (small place,) but they do have some pretty cool drapes hung from the ceiling. It seem like you’re dining privately. Would definitely get sushi from there “
“This was on of the best and most authentic Japanese restaurants that I have been to. The staff were very kind, the menu had a great selection of dishes. The sushi was very fresh. Everything had a great feel. Very warm and inviting! I would return if I was in the area. I was here on a business trip.“
“For being such a small, likely overlooked little restaurant, my family and I were surprised at the flavor and taste of everything we ordered. Beautifully decorated and the staff were all super nice, seriously, this place is underrated, definitely one of the best dine in experiences I've had in years.“
“Wow! What a little gem! And extremely reasonable price point for fresh, delicious, literal boatload of sushi! We got the sushi boat and it did not disappoint (see pic). The wait staff were extremely friendly and as excited as we were to bring the boat out to us lol. It was such a beautifully artistic presentation and the sushi was amazing! Def will be coming back!“
“La Hiro is a hidden gem in the Cincy area for traditional Japanese cuisine. Our family absolutely loves Kiki for its modern Japanese flavors, but La Hiro is our personal favorite for traditional Japanese. We were shocked to be here between 6:30-7:30 on a Saturday evening and we were the only ones in the restaurant. That is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant of this quality. Don’t let the fact that it’s next to a liquor store in a small strip center turn you away. The quality and service are top notch…I just wish it was closer to home!“
“We were a walk in and they were able to seat us on an early evening on a Tuesday. Andrew and Chloe were absolutely FANTASTIC and were extremely cognizant of my mom’s cheese allergy and my nieces deathly peanut allergy. They were attentive, always checking on us but never making us feel rushed and truly gave us a great experience. The food was some of the best i have had and i highly recommend this place. I would say to make reservations on busier days like the weekends for sure! Thank you again Andrew and Chloe!“
“We had a really great time. We were celebrating hubby's birthday. The atmosphere was great. Service was great and our cook was top notch. He almost gave me a heart attack but it was all in fun. Lol. The alcoholic drink choices weren't too impressive to me. The food is always so good. They have a great selection for sushi options. They have a lot of hibachi choices too. The price is typical of a hibachi restaurant. I suggest making reservations as they are always full if you do walk-ins(at least Everytime we go and are walk-ins) Everything was amazing. He had a great night and so did everyone else.Parking: The lot for the restaurant is somewhat small but it's in a shopping center so there is more parking behind the restaurant. You just have to take a short walk.Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu. Our son is 11 and eats like an adult so this doesn't apply to us. But they have something for everyone and the environment is kid friendly.“
“Stopped in at around 4 on Sunday, we were immediately greeted and given a seat. I’d never had ramen before, the server was extremely helpful in giving suggestions on what to try. Not only this, but she gave great attention to detail and was very attentive. The food was excellent, but the service we received really made the experience. I recommend anyone to stop and give this place a try. You won’t regret it.“
“We loved Aji Ichiban when it was on Glenway, and are thrilled with the new location where the old Washington Platform restaurant used to be in Elm Street. It’s all new and very clean and cozy! Their yummy-yummy sauce is simply the best! I love the Hibatchi shrimp and fried rice and my husband and kids love the Hibatchi Chicken and shrimp. They have a beautiful full bar and an extra room for karaoke and private events! They do not cook in front of you but have nice seating and bring the food to you. I think I like this better! Family owned and operated by a great couple who treat you like family. If you’re craving Hibatchi, this is the place to go!!“
“Best sushi I ever had! I went here once in like 2021 because I traveled from Chicago to Ohio to work a car show. My colleagues and I went here and it was THE BEST SUSHI I've ever had. It's been years since I visited and I'm always talking this place up. Well, I finally decided to make a review. I'll have to come visit, just for the sushi because it was EXCELLENT.“
“This place has a very extensive sushi menu. There's good-looking cocktails and wines, too, but I didn't explore any drinks the night I came. It was a casual, upbeat vibe on a Thursday night. The rainbow roll is a good test for quality, and I thought it was very solid. The lion king roll had an excellently cooked piece of salmon on top -- quite enjoyable. The shumai was very high quality, too. Everything is surprisingly affordable and less expensive than your average sushi spot, but quality is not compromised. Service was very good. I'd be more than happy to come back.Parking: There are meters all around the area, but it's a popular area, so you have to get a little lucky to find a close spot.“
“Great service and very authentic Japanese food. This is a very homey and cozy experience. This is the first time I've had a broth based Japanese dish that I loved. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. However, I wish that they had some light Japanese music playing in the background, as the restaurant is very small and talking at a regular volume can feel loud. I think that this would greatly improve the already good atmosphere.I also wish that they had one or two affordable dinner options. I would like to bring more people here but I think the price point would be a little too high for some people.“
“This is my favorite Hibachi restaurant hands down. The yum yum sauce is by far the most delicious I’ve ever had and always find myself comparing others to this one. I moved across the country during the beginning of the pandemic, but every time I visit home this is always my first stop.“
“Cloud 9 Sushi is a must stop in Cincinnati! The food was all so good! And really inexpensive! I got 2 special rolls (C9 supreme & BBQ), 2 appetizers (Gyoza & Crab Rangoon), 1 soda, and 1 hand roll (yum yum roll) the Gyoza Pot Stickers were AMAZING! I only spent $41 for all of these things! I definitely recommend this place if you love sushi - so many options to choose from. The only thing to keep in mind is that the parking situation is terrible. Not handicap friendly!Parking: Streets are packed and parking is hard to find“
“Had a great dinner there the other night! Got the drunken noodles as per my server's suggestion and it was very tasty, and a very nice portion that I took half home and ate the next day ? looking forward to going back and trying the pineapple fried rice. Never had such a thing before but I was torn between that and the noodles.“
“The food quality and portion for the price is commendable. I ordered pork fried rice and red chicken curry and enjoyed both entrees. The pork fried rice was flavorful. It looked like they used ham cubes for the pork portion which is odd but, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The red chicken curry was flavorful but, I like a healthy portion of curry juice in my curry and there was much more protein and veggies. The restaurant itself is typical fast food asian. Clean, dated but, nothing fancy. I would say this place ranks pretty high on my list for overall Asian cuisine within the county.“
“Great sushi plus other Asian cuisine. I've been coming here for years for both lunch and dinner, including with family and friends.I've tried most of the menu and like everything. I really like the Japanese draft beers, but they have several beverage options.Dine in after 4 pm for half-price sushi. The non-sushi menu is solid. It's only one block from Fountain Square on 6th Street.“
“I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is fun and exciting and also very comfy, like you are just at a really great party a friend is throwing?. It is a very welcoming atmosphere for EVERYONE?. The service is excellent and so is the food. I would give more stars if I could.“
“Favorite take out and dine in restaurant for my family. We are so happy to have New Garden and all the staff as part of our community and providing warm service and good food. Food is always fresh. Large portions, super tastey. Favorite place for take out sushi and hot sour soup on cold days! I would recommend anything from their menu and it will be prepared well.Kid-friendliness: They have a nice little kids menu for the picky eaters.“
“We finally tried this place yesterday for the first time. We got a sushi roll to share at first and it was really good! I got the Hibachi chicken and my boyfriend got the Udon noodles with chicken. They were both delicious and came out so fast. The salad and onion soup were SO GOOD, probably one of the best soups I’ve tasted. We both had to get a box to go because it’s a lot of food! Our waiter was so nice and friendly too and he made the experience even better! I would definitely recommend this place.“
“This place is excellent! Excellent food! They give you a lot! Very tasty! Super quiet and calm environment! Waitress was super friendly and professional. Only thing was she let my drink run empty twice but she was very friendly and calm. Place had a very soothing Ora about it. I highly recommend this place! Especially if you dont like crazy atmospheres. Very calm and quiet here!“
“I appreciate the food and the amount of food they give. However, DONT buy a gift card from there. They won't let you use your own money of the gift card if it's below the gift card amount. For example, I got a 10 dollar gift card, i tried getting krab ragoon which is 7.49 total, I couldn't use the gift card because it was below the 10 dollars, makes perfect sense.“
