“My tour guide was Faaris and he was amazing! I've been on a few distillery tours, and no one has made the history of the place come alive like Faaris did. The sunken garden was pretty even though I visited at the end of fall/beginning of winter. The whiskey had a bite to it, and the bourbon was very smooth. I bought the bourbon as well as the hot toddy mixture (which I haven't tried yet). I like that there were some cocktail syrups as well as the spirits.“

“Absolutely loved my experience here! We went through the gift shop and picked up our favorites. The website tells you what's in stock for the day before they open. There were discounted whiskey glasses and a free root beer when I went in. There's always a tasting of some kind at the back of the gift shop, and just outside the giftshop, upstairs there's another free tasting of some of the things they sell. If you want to get something rare you should get there and line up early. Cars start to line up at 8, they let us in at 8 to park. Then there's another line in person outside, so bring some shade and water!“

Rhonda and I stopped in at Cliffside Diner, and it absolutely hit the spot. She had the classic cheeseburger, and I went for the western burger — both were perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The fries were exactly how you want them: crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, and seasoned just right.

The atmosphere has that cozy, old-school diner charm that makes you feel right at home the minute you walk in. The place sits right along the hillside with a view that lives up to the name “Cliffside,” and there’s a relaxed hometown vibe — friendly staff, the sizzle of the grill, and a steady hum of good conversation in the background. You can tell it’s the kind of spot locals love and travelers remember.

“Stopped in on the way to Buffalo Trace, we told the waitress we needed to be somewhere in an hour and she did everything she could to make that happen. Total time there was 35min, food was pretty good though I feel the steak could have been seasoned a little more. Loved the salad bar, so many things to put on your salad.“

The owner and Chef visited our area to make sure everything was fantastic. To top it off the Strawberry Cake was a dream. It was so lite, creamy and and amazing strawberry flavor. Best birthday Cake.
