The guac is made to order and is easily the best I’ve ever had. I got the empanadas and they were delicious. I can’t remember what the dish was my husband ordered but it was basically a sausage and potato sandwich but very tasty.

This use to be a hidden gem of a place to eat. But now they it changed owners the food is not very good anymore. And if you do not speak Spanish, it's very very hard to order your food. Our waitress got our orders all mixed up because she couldn't understand English very well. Some of the food was okay but some of it was tasteless. The menu is very hard to interpret because most of its in Spanish. I may come back in a couple years to see if it taste any better, but I would not recommend this place after it changed owners.

I tried this place at the last moment since my first choice was closed. It looked rustic, yet nice from the outside. The food was decent but a bit pricey considering the portion.I have to admit that I wonder about food safety. On at least two tables (including mine), there were bottles of mayo upside down next to the ketchup, mustard, and other condiments. Apparently they didn't get the memo that mayo needs to be refridgerated.I was also disappointed that they didn't have fountain drinks. Rather, we had to order bottles of soda to go with the meal. The waitress seemed friendly enough (though she did mess up part of our order).I can't say it was a bad experience, but there are too many better Mexican places in town for me to return to this one. It was fine, but pricey and limited. Best of luck to them!!

One of Lexington's hidden gems. Disturbingly fresh seafood. Best Mexican in Lex. Only issue is the hours. It's a real gamble whether this place is ever actually open or not, and they don't always answer the phone so you really have to pay a drive by visit just to know. Prices so good you feel like you're in the 90's.

Excellent food. I always get the Pollo Toluca and my gf gets the Caldo de Camaron. One of my favorite places ever. Seriously good.

From the house Margaritas to the chips and salsa to the amazing appetizers to the incredible soups and entrees to the friendly, outstanding service, it was all AMAZING! It is our new favorite restaurant, whenever we are in Lexington. Thank you to everyone at La Cabana for a superb meal!

Orale!!! If you love great Mexican food, stop by - the owners are wonderful and they care deeply about what they make. The torta I had was bomb!!! Can't wait to try their tacos next. I always make a point to support awesome POC businesses, and your visit will go a long way.

This hole-in-the-wall was exactly what I was looking for.Seems to be run by a Mexican family. The place is small, a little run-down, but clean.Service was great, people were friendly, and the food was delicious.Authentic Mexican food. Yum!
