We were driving to Indiana to drop my son off at a summer camp, and we picked Lexington as the halfway point. It took me a while to find this place online, because a quick Internet search for Lexington simply reveals a lot of places that serve a lot of meat, barbecue etc. I had to dig a little deeper to find it, and I am so glad we did! It was myself, my husband and our teenage son, and all of our meals were delightful, filling, and boasted interesting flavors! My son had the wings, and my husband and I both had a bowl. It is difficult for us to find a cuisine or food we have not tried before, yet we had never tried fufu. It was lovely and unlike the texture of anything I had ever had. Very much a comfort food! The courtyard was charming, and you could feel the love and care that the owner put into the place. I will note that the hot banana ice cream was spicy! It said it was spicy, and we love spicy, but we were unprepared for just how spicy the hot banana was. Very good, but spicy. If we lived in the area, we would be back often.

Great peanut chicken and lamb ragouts. We had the Kentucky Coffee and coconut ? ice cream for dessert and everything was delicious!

Tonight was a much needed return to Sav's. I always loved this place when they were on Limestone and I lived across the street. I will say the new location is beautiful and even on a busy street the outdoor seating transports you to a restful shady spot where your work day is done and it's time to share a meal with your people. (The peanut chicken bowl and plantains is still my favorite). Fairly priced and beautifully executed meals, wonderful service and well crafted cocktails followed by a scoop of lavender ice cream, yes I will be back again very soon. Thanks Sav's for a wonderful evening.

Went here for early dinner on June 9, 2022. Greeted by friendly server and seated outside in gorgeous patio. Despite patio being on busy main road, patio atmosphere was serene and the only time we noticed traffic noise was when a bus went by. We both had Mafen Vegan Bowl which is eggplant, cabbage and carrots. OMG...so delicious !! Husband had his with brown rice and I had mine with fufu, which looked like polenta and tasted like gnocci. Food was flavorful without being either spicy like Indian food or hot like Cajun food. Also had the special BeeSop and JinJon drinks, which were both refreshing on a hot summer afternoon. Server was fast and efficient. A perfect dining experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I cannot emphasize this enough, Sav's is an absolute gem of a place. The vegan selection is unreal. Got the vegan peanut stew with fufu with the habanero sauce on the side. I really liked how the stew on its own is mildly spiced but you can modify the heat yourself by adding the habanero sauce. My husband had the ginger chicken meatballs. We were both blown away by the flavors and quality. We found the portion sizes to be quite large for the prices. I could have taken home half of my meal, but I couldn't stop eating it. The salad dressing was delicious as well. Despite being absolutely stuffed we had to try the ice cream (which was definitely worth it). Their outdoor dining space is very charming and all of the staff were attentive and nice. I will be taking home some dressing and hot sauce next time for sure. I could happily eat this food everyday. We will be back soon!

One of my very favorite restaurants. Very vegan and GF friendly. If you're a meat eater, I highly recommend the lamb rangout. Very nice outdoor space, and the owner is one of the nicest people you will meet.

Sav's was delicious! No one in our family has ever had any form of African cuisine and we all thoroughly enjoyed all that Sav's had to offer - like the beesop sangria (pictured). Highly recommend the fataya, peanut goat, and ginger chicken meatballs (everything was delicious, these were just our faves)! And make sure to save room for ice cream- SO good!

Sav's was excellent. We enjoyed the chicken ginger meatballs and chicken peanut sauce all on fufu! We were serenaded by an excellent band (No Rules Band) on the porch. I felt like we were in a Caribbean restaurant and half expected to look over my shoulder and find a beach! Thank you SAV for a wonderful dinner and great entertainment!

Had an early dinner here during the week. Lovely restaurant space. Though we sat inside (it was chilly out), the outdoor seating areas looked welcoming. Had the Peanut Chicken Bowl with fufu. Very good. Tried the beesop sorbet (dairy free) which I really enjoyed. Server was attentive.I look forward to going back on a warm evening and sitting outside.

I would give this place 20stars the customer service is +A. And the food is phenomenal I don't eat so the vegan menu is great. With so many options it's great, and this margarita with hibiscus is definitely a creeper...Not to mention I been knowing Sav's for a while it's great to visit the new restaurant...
