My fiancé and I have come here twice now, as it is still a relatively new Steak ‘n’ Shake location. We went through the drive-thru, and although it took a little extra time, the food was delicious, piping hot, and we appreciated the hardworking staff.The line in the drive-thru was long so we did wait a fair bit, maybe 20 minutes after ordering. Pretty depressing experience. There were 3 employees working their hardest to keep the ship from sinking. Whatever the chain had going for it is completely gone. Used to be a solid place to take your kids for decent food. Silly hats, ice cream, pretend diner vibes. There's no reason for this restaurant to exist anymore.

I don't mind a self check machine but when it my only option. I feel like I'm being forced to work without getting paid.I ordered fries and a screen popped up asking if I like to add. One of the options was melted cheese. Cheese fries sound good. Nope side of cheese. Not enough to cover the fries.
