I’ve been looking for a good brisket for a long time, and they totally delivered. Best brisket I’ve ever had outside of Texas. Melt in your mouth smooth, great flavor and the sauce (I went with Sweet) was amazing. I’m hitting this place every time I’m down here for work!!

This family business has a hometown feel. Local high school sports team's posters are hanging on the walls. The people greet you with a smile like you are family when you walk in. I asked for a sampler plate of meats and I enjoyed every item. The brisket was tender with a good char on the outside. The chopped pork bbq was tender and tasty. I'll definitely be coming back when I'm in Richmond.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE! I've been passing by this place since they opened in Richmond and kept meaning to check it out. I regret not eating here sooner. I had the ribs, cornbread, potato salad... the meat was sooo tender, my broken teeth didn't even feel any pain (which is rare with meat for me). Meat was right at that sweet spot where it don't fall off but pulls easily and clean right off bone! They know what they're doing. And honestly, best damn potato salad I've ever had. Sorry mom... ? And gawd, the cornbread... sooo moist... not a dry bite. Again, DO NOT PASS THIS BY! You won't be disappointed.

We tried the Texas sampler with brisket, pork, ribs, and sausage . The brisket was chewy, the sausage had a tough casing, the ribs were tough, the pork was very good. The Mac and cheese was good along with the Chuck wagon beans.The staff was friendly and the service was great.

REALLY, REALLY GREAT BBQ!!!! Very Happy with the quality and portions. My wife liked the macaroni and cheese. I love the collard greens, they offer vinegar on them, delicious! I highly recommend this place. Way to go people!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet.I've made multiple trips for dinner here. Always fantastic!The Texas Tater is my favorite! Tonight, I paired it with brisket burnt ends and holy smokes! It was great!Forget Sonny's! Get some Texas bbq!

A small, family BBQ spot that has hands to God, the best BBQ we have ever had. Take your pic between brisket, pulled pork, ribs, & sausage all meticulously smoked outside of the establishment. Delicious variety of sauces but this barbecue does not eat any sauce whatsoever. It's more of a cherry on top of the cake, if desired. The restaurant is roomy and casual with a cafeteria type set up. We haven't been real impressed with the sides that we have tried. Both the potato salad and the coleslaw lack flavor and are too runny. Definitely does not appear to be homemade. If it is, it needs celery, relish and onion. We have not sampled the barbecue baked beans or the macaroni and cheese. I don't have any pictures because we can never wait to eat the food! If you're ever in Richmond Kentucky this is the place you should stop to eat!

I have revised my rating. I believe the taste is still exceptional however I have encountered some issues.1lb of pork is listed for $14.99 but I was charged $16. I did get a refund but it was frustrating.But the bigger complaint is being charged.50 cents for a ramakin of BBQ sauce that was not even half filled. And having quite a lot of fat in my order. I have supplied pictures of both. I really hope this place improves their quality.
