I'm not a huge chicken fan and I don't eat fish. So why go to 1883 in Union KY for lunch. Well the three ladies I was with wanted to go there. Naturally I complied. I didn't want a huge burger but I wished that they had a BLT. Here is where my rating comes in at a 5! They took the time to make me a BLT and fries. When a restaurant changes something for a picky patron, that left a Very Strong Impression on me. Couple that with one of the best servers that I have ever encountered. His name is Matt at the Union location. If you are fortunate enough to have Matt as your server. You will see what I mean. Kudos Matt/1883 Jerome

This place was great. I took my granddaughter for breakfast and we got so much food we had to bring it back. Service was fantastic very very attentive and friendly.

Service was very slow, waitress was audibly talking badly about coworkers, forgot to check on our refills the whole 90m we were there. Food took so long to arrive that by the time it did I managed 2 bites before nausea hit. So why 3 stars? I'm spoiled by high quality dining in major cities, and I'm guessing this place is still loved by locals even when they have an "off night" for the wait staff. No complaints about quality of the food, just how long it took to get to the table (ok one complaint - my fries were too cold to be edible) I don't think we'll return, but it wasn't the worst dining experience we've ever had. Try First Watch in Florence instead Food: 3/5 (1 of our party of 4 finished their meal) Ambience: loud generic bar ambiance, 2.5/5 Wait staff: 1/5 but I feel like this night or specific waitress was just a miss

Food not good there is no ambiance. Need I say more? Service was not bad. Would not recommend to anyone.

Always a great place to go. Food and drinks are great, atmosphere is casual but nice, staff if friendly and insightful. Only downsides are prices are high for what you get, the "full bar" is not actually a full bar, and there's some inconsistency between visits. Specifically, portions and spiciness of items will be different between visits and asking for a mixed drink is usually responded with "we're out of that" or "we're not able to make that".

As we were dining, the atmosphere was quieter than normal- with a little chatter in the background. All food leaving kitchen looked good. Made for a lot of back and forth decisions.but the mushroom ricotta appetizer was delish and I had the Brussels sprouts salad. Both delish! Service was good and all were very attentive. It's busy, but worth it as of today.

Good food and friendly service from Lauren. Great wine promos and the berry brownie dessert was amazing.

Food was great and table service was great. One star off for a 45 min wait that we were told would be 15 min.

My wife and I ate here while visiting the area. The food was really good and the service was really good. The atmosphere is that of a bar, which is fine for many. My wife and I do highly recommend this place for a really good meal and service!

Loved Kitchen 1883! I had the Shrimp and Grits, which were awesome and a side of their Cali-Sprouts... so, so, good (A must if you like brussel sprouts). Great beer and drink menu. Our group appreciated that it was quiet inside and we could hear each other easily. What a find!

The service and atmosphere are definitely great. The food is ok, but the choices are limited and the portions are small. I've been a few times and have always gotten stellar service but their menu needs an overhaul.
