Good old fashion tamales, very authentic and still very affordable. The owner/manager is easy to deal with and does a very good little business. It's also at a convenient spot to get fuel and ice cream in avondale, so a great place to stop on the way out of it into the West Bank of New Orleans

I have been eating these tamales since I was a young kid. I visit there Avondale stand. I bring 4-5 containers so I can get juice and freeze them. They have never changed the recipe and that is what makes there tamales the best !!!!!!!! This place gets so much business for being a "stand" off the road and only from 4:00-10:00PM. My entire family and friends knows about these tamales. They are an icon for folks that grew up around New Orleans. You have to know where there stands...read full review
