First time and had fajitas and margaritas on this night. Being from Houston Texas, I've had fajitas from many different places in Houston. I can honestly say that the fajitas at Chimi V's are the best I've ever had. Many times, you order chicken fajitas, and they are dry. The combo we had were hot and very juicy with a taste that wakes your pallet on the first bite. I would definitely make this a, "must try" restaurant. The waitress was amazing, and the Manager stopped by our table to visit.

The food was good....not great food, however the atmosphere and service was excellent. I think our servers name was Brandon. It was his first day waiting tables on his own, but we couldn't tell. I have been to Chimi V's many times. I'm typically not someone who tries different things at a restaurant, but I have tried something different every time I have visited with the same result. Everything is awesome! From the burritos to the enchiladas to the grilled chicken sandwich to the brisket chimi, which is my favorite. The flour tortillas are great. The rice is hit or miss, but the refried beans are great. Service is also ALWAYS great. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a little bit dirty on occasion. Food and service are always top notch.

Two of us ordered sirloin fajitas, another the shrimp diablo and some sort of burrito for our fourth.Starting off, some kind of rotten case of avocados situation prevented table side guacamole. Ok, it happens.Chips and queso pretty good actually. Chips themselves really good.Something off in their margarita mix caused my top shelf to have a weird smoky taste (silver tequila so that shouldn't have been there).Shrimp Diablo and burrito reported to be good.Now, on to the fajitas. If you can see in the photo I've posted, very nice cut of meat cooked as ordered. I'd say the beef flavor was the high point and obvious quality. So, what could be improved? First, neither of us could taste any seasoning or marinade with the beef. Second, the sirloin wasn't sliced thinly, rather the opposite. A challenge to eat actually. When I make them at home, I thin slice the meat and marinade for 24 hours. Every bite is flavor town.Take that great cut of meat, marinade it well, and then serve it sliced nicely for your tortilla (the corn ones were excellent by the way) and this dish shoots to 4 stars or beyond.

We walked in and had no server or host ask us where we wanted to sit.. Waited for 8 minutes and sat ourselves at the Bar... It was 3 of us and I personally ordered max and cheese bowl and it was trash.. They gave something differenot with 3 tacos and one brisket was good , but other TWO were COLD... Manager was ok, service was mediocre . We won't come again.

Went last night and it seems like they are having some issues. Table next to me ordered the texted mac & cheese which the menu said was supposed to be bowtie pasta with queso Blanco and pico de gallo, and they were given what looked like Kraft mac & cheese from a box. After they complained the manager came out and took the plate away and they just didn't bother ordering anything else. I ordered a brisket chimichanga and it was missing the pico and guacamole that the menu said it came with. The brisket was mostly fat and was pretty bad. Beans were good, rice was meh. Salsa was alright, chips were pretty bland. I also ordered a swirl margarita, which was good, but when the bill came I was charged for a double margarita instead. Brought it up to the waitress and she said she would fix it, but she just removed it instead. So the free margarita is what pushed this up to a 2 star. They were fairly busy so they must do something right but my section wasn't very happy.

Service was fine. Atmosphere was fine. Service was quick. The food was bad. Inedible bad. The food smelled off. It tasted no better.The rice was no good. The beans tasted like they came from a package. The meat tasted like it may have been old. We got our check and left after sampling some items. The server asked if we needed to-go boxes and we unanimously said, "No, thank you." We tipped and left.I'll go to Texas Roadhouse if I'm in the neighborhood, or Ki Mexico or Don Juanz if I want Mexican / Tex-Mex.

The restaurant only had a handful of customers when I got there around 3:30, but I still had to wait to be seated because the host was on the phone. Then had to wait a long time on the waiter to bring a drink and take my order. Then I waited on chips and salsa that never arrived. I asked for some while I was waiting for my food and they brought them out then. Then I was rushed to pay my bill by the waiter so he could clock out. I also had ordered some food to go. Once my waiter left my togo order never came out. I finally got it over half hour after he clocked out. Food was great tho. So if you like to wait, wait and wait and then be rushed and wait again either join the military or eat at Chimi V's.The waitresses that helped me at the end of my experience is the only Reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.
We went to Chimi Vs on 9/15/22. One of our friends was celebrating 10 years with the company and she loved this place. She ordered the trash can nachos and I had chicken fajita nachos. When they brought out the food it looked horrible. The trash can nachos were on a small platter and the fajita nachos looked like bad potato skins. When the waitress heard us she must have told the manager. He came out to the table and asked if there was a problem. We told him there was and he turned around and walked away. The waitress came back and told us it was new owners and the menu had changed but the new ones weren't printed yet. So, why give us the old ones and take our order off of that menu. Then don't say anything until after we're done. No one finished their meal. Not one of the 6 of us will ever go back. The food tasted horrible as well. The only reason the fajita nachos look like they had color is because I put some of their nasty salsa on them. The fajita nachos consisted of a chip cut in half, piece of chicken, and cheese. Avoid at all costs...even Taco Bell is a way better meal. Or maybe have a few drinks then eat at least you won't remember three food.

How dare you call yourself the fajita factory!! The food was trash! We expected so much more. The ONLY reason we stayed was bc of the live music. Guacamole was trash, rice was trash, I can’t believe how under seasoned the food was! We expected so much more from “the fajita factory”

My family & I have eaten here several times when passing thru town. The first several times were great, but the service, food, and especially the manager have gone way down. The manager has been extremely rude on more than one occasion. He doesn’t try to fix a problem, he’d rather argue and cause a scene. We decided to give them one chance today and were “lucky” enough to have him as our waiter today and he was not attentive at all. No refills, food was so overdone it was hard, and we rarely saw him. We will definitely NOT be going back ever!
