Honestly came here for the good reviews but it's honestly the opposite, I highly don't recommend this place. My clear soup tasted like straight up water and hibachi was very salty and spicy. Even the condiments wasn't it at all! THE SUSHI LITERALLY COLLAPSED WHEN I PICKED IT UP.

Freshly prepped food and outstanding service. The Yaki Udon noodles are perfect. Rolls are amazing. Sashimi is fresh with large portions. They have a decent sake selection, the unfiltered sake is fab!

A real hidden gem. My go to sushi restaurant. The owners are there every day and have been for as long as I remember. I've never had an issue with anything from asahi. I recommend them over any other sushi place in baton rouge or surrounding areas.

Protein portions are a little thin but everything tastes excellent! Ordered shrimp tempura appetizer and it came with a bunch of tempura veggies as well! We each had one roll and all the veggies filled us up. So glad to find this gem and we WILL be back!Parking: Little difficult to leave/get in because of a median in the road but that's not their fault.

We picked up dinner to go after shopping at the antique shops in Denham Springs. I was impressed by the extensive menu on the website. Our group ordered various sushi rolls, sashimi chicken, sashimi scallops, green salads, gyoza, edamame and fried rice. The food portions were a lot smaller than most sushi restaurants. That was fine with us because of the lower prices. The food was on the lower end of average overall. The chicken sashimi was good. The scallops were incredibly tiny and inedible. There were only four tiny scallops in the meal. They were so overcooked they had the texture of chewing gum. The gyoza was good. Unfortunately, we ordered the fried dumplings and received steamed dumplings.There are several places that serve sushi in this area. I really recommend trying a different place.
